These pro trinkets are almost perfect..
These pro trinkets are almost perfect...great quality.... very hard to damage these little guys.. I remove the U.S.B. Connector, Power On LED, and the 1.5k pull-up resistor for the USB and then the current draw when in "sleep mode" is less than 1 milliamperes (instead of 5 milliamperes off the shelf) .. All Hail Lady Ada......Be aware 20 milliamperes max on pins.. digital pin 2 and 7 unavailable...read the specs.. highly recommended board.. good tutorials at ADAFRUIT website..

I was born in the 60s. To think that ...
I was born in the 60s. To think that there is such a tiny processor that can do so much that costs so little... I am a neuroscientist, and I needed a way of converting mechanical responses to a digital ttl signal. This fit the bill, providing three channels (3 analog in, 3 digital out) without even coming near its limitations. And at 16Mhz, the millisecond resolution I needed wasn't an issue. My sketch (program) didn't even use a quarter of its memory. I will buying a lot more of these, I know.

Wonderfully Powerful, Super Cheap
Such a cool little device. Fully capable Arduino-compatible board that can to just about everything an Arduino Uno can do. The only differences are that pins 2 and 7 are not usable (they're taken up by USB), there is no USB serial connection so you'll need a separate FTDI interface if you want to debug or send serial commands, and there's no 3.3v out, just a 5v on this model. I've used this for everything from pranks at work to developing wireless remotes for things around the house. There's nothing like this crazy cheap little powerhouse, once you buy one you can be sure you'll be loading up on a few more!

Great item, but not from this re-seller (rejects?)
I have successfully used the Adafruit Trinket Pro for a bunch of projects and bought 2 new ones for a new project. For this project, I used 2 that I had bought directly from Adafuit and these 2 new ones. The new ones simply flashed the error light at me and would not accept the download program (the same one I loaded successfully to the 2 old ones so the issue is not with my cable, computer, program setup, etc...). I tried the instructions for re-burning the USB Loader, which is one possible cause of the lights I had, but even that did not work. Additional forum search seems to indicate the units are broken so I am returning both. I had to scramble at the last minute and substitute 2 full-size Arduino Uno's I had lying around. I have to wonder if this seller is passing off reject units as "new". I will stick to buying directly from Adafruit in the future. I am giving 5 stars but those are for the Adafruit unit - I'd like to give 0 for this seller (in my case, shows as "3DMakerWorld")!

Adafruit Pro Trinket 5V 16MHz
The Pro Trinket is an a great piece of hardware. The sketch I designed on my Arduino Uno loaded right into the trinket and worked as it should. The size is very small, can fit into very small projects. The only think I had to do to load the sketch was press the button on the board first, then it would take the sketch. I read this on a forum somewhere when I was having problems loading it. Great board, will be getting another soon for another project.

Great Prototyping board
I use this for development/prototyping smaller projects, and then buy cheaper bulk knock-offs for the final products. This is a beautiful, sturdy little board that's easy to install and upload programs to. It should have plenty of space for a simple project with no/very limited libraries.

Super cool and powerful little processor.
Muat go to adafruit's website to find the repository that adds the trinket to arduino ide. This hung me up for a good hour or so. Also, must reset the chip manually at the same time you upload the sketch. about how trinket interfaces the ide to learn more. Its different than regular uno/mega boards. Amazing power in such a little package!!! Read more

Small, reasonably priced, decent board. Needs separate device for serial logging
It doesn't want to provide serial logging capability over the USB connection, so I had to buy an Adafruit FTDI friend to work with these things. That was a little bit of a bummer, but otherwise, they're great little boards.

Guter Arduino Clone

Bin sehr zufrieden.

Easy to program!
I liked the fact that it was easy to program, but not so happy that I had to buy a cable to program it!
