Camo Flat Enamel Paint Set (Packaging May Vary)

The box of paints are exactly what I was needing. My son and I are putting together a detailed bomber plane. This box had a lot of the colors we will be putting them to use asap. The other colors I have no doubt we will use eventually, like sky blue. oh and i didnt know prior to receiving it but it came with a paint thinner!! Great value, came package nicely and arrived sooner than expected. I could not be happier with this purchase! Thank you!

Several years ago I converted to acrylic paints due to the fumes enamels produce and haven’t looked back…till now. There are just some techniques you just can’t quite duplicate with acrylics over enamels. Some washes just don’t have the same color depth or color shift that enamels do, I had been using enamels for over 60 years so I know my way around enamels. So I bought this set to use as base coats as well as thinned for washes. Back in business… I have always liked testers enamels including their model master paints. Now with this set I can have the best of both worlds.

Once I mastered setting it up, it works flawlessly! If you have an iPhone or Android phone, definitely get the iOptron polar finder app. This greatly decreases the setup time as it shows you exactly where to position Polaris in the finder. This will save you much frustration in trying to set the SkyTracker up. I let it go for 30 minutes once I got it set property with the app and it was still spot on!! I was able to use my 150mm telephoto lens to capture the Great Orion Nebula for several minutes! The stars were pinpoint sharp! The previous tracker I used could not do this with a telephoto lens. My next challenge is to try it with my 400mm lens!

Excellent flat paint. Remember if this is what you want, then buy it. Read the label to make sure you are getting the right type of paint. Testors has a few different types of paint. I needed flat for military vehicles. This paint works great. Two coats is about right and you even get thinner. Very useful ! Get this paint on line. I drove all over and most places were out of it. Amazon shipped it to me with a few days. Done ! Hooah !

I used these to color fill the lettering and logo on a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield. I used about ten drops of the thinner included in the pack to make the paint fill in the narrow lettering better. It worked great and came out fantastic. I have not been out shooting with it painted yet and if it fails to hold up I will be sure and update this review. The kit came with a simple brush, some thinner, flat black, flat white, flat light blue, flat dark blue, flat army green, flat tan and flat brown. I used the flat brown on the Shield pictured.
