What material are these made of?

Good quality steel with like a bakelite insert in the clamps. My favorite wire loom

This fit 63 impala -327 with headers? the mounting holes go on top of the triangular mounts for the valve cover?

I installed them on a 72 Chevy C10, 350ci, They fit well, no trouble with clearance on the headers.

Will 8.5 mm wires fit?
