I love my Dr. Pen microneedling pen, and I've seen tremendous changes for the better in my skin after using it for only a short time. But nano has its place, too.If you look at a nano cartridge closely, you'll see it has no needles. Instead, what are needles in other cartridges look like little bumps in a nano cartridge. A nano cartridge doesn't pierce the skin nearly as deep as a microneedle. A nano is designed to be used more often, and it only works on the surface of the skin, opening the epidermis so all the wonderful skincare products we use, like our serums and moisturizers and sleeping masks can penetrate more deeply.I microneedle with my Dr. Pen the first week of every month, and the second, third, and fourth weeks of the month, I use a nano three or four days a week. (If a nano is all you use, you can safely use it daily.)A nano cartridge isn't meant to induce collagen production, but to me, it is necessary. I don't want to spend a lot of money on serums, moisturizers, and sleeping masks unless they work as well as possible. Nanoneedling makes sure they do.I love the fact that these nano cartridges arrive in a sterile package. I know people who sterilize their cartridge with alcohol and reuse it the next week, but these are really only made for a single use. I stick to that single use. For me, reusing, even after sterilizing, isn't worth an infection.There's no need for numbing cream with a nano cartridge. It doesn't hurt a bit. And, I even nano my lips and under my eyes, and I've seen good results.Another advantage of nano cartridges is that you can use vitamin C serum with them. This is something you shouldn't use with microneedling because the serum can cause a granuloma in the microchannels you've created.. Since you're not creating channels with a nano, you have no worries about irritation or granulomas. And vitamin C gives the skin a fantastic glow, that "lit from within" glow that everyone wants but so few have.For me, Dr. Pen is the gold standard for at-home microneedling, and these nano cartridges are the best. If you really want to give your skin the best care you can, try these nano cartridges. They really can't be beat, and the results, while cumulative, can begin to be seen after the first treatment.
