Leave it to the French to have a salt pig that keeps good salt safe, makes using spoons and utensils easy, and keeps the counter and hands clean. Of course, you can pinch salt with your fingers, too, if that’s your style. This is one of those things I wish I’d had sooner.

Gave this to my husband for Xmas, and he absolutely loved it. I've wanted to get one for him for a long time but couldn't find them in the typical stores. He was thrilled when he opened it. The design keeps food, sauces, or oil splatters from getting on the salt, and the wide mouth keeps the salt handy for the cook. It's also a very pretty design. :) Get it!

I was hesitant about buying this, as I was unsure if I'd love it, but time has proven that it's a must-have item in our kitchen! I didn't realize just how often I was opening up the cupboard, grabbing the salt container, getting the salt out, putting the container away, etc. This high-quality, beautifully-crafted salt pig makes sprinkling salt and grabbing a quick teaspoon of salt off of your counter SO easy! The size of this salt pig is small enough to not take up too much counter space, yet large enough to make a cute little statement next to your stove. The functionality is simple and time-saving - I couldn't go back to not having one. You can tell this is a quality piece that has been crafted with care. Though the price tag may seem a little steep, I think the value is there and this would make such a lovely, unexpected gift for the foodie in your life.

Convenient for cooking and keeps salt dry

This style salt pig has always been my favorite. Emile Henry has the best rendering I think. Love the Clay, it always goes with other kitchen colors. I wish the Emile Henry stamp/name was a little easier to see. And I don't understand why it's advertised as a 2 piece item. I wasn't really expecting 2, since it was priced the same as others online, but still...

This looks great on our kitchen counter and it is a great way to store your salt for cooking. Great style.

Fits hand perfectly not to big quality ceramic and finish

Qualidade impacável. Há produtos semelhantes em termos estéticos, mas a qualidade dos produtos Emile Henry é indiscutível. Vale lembrar que este produto é de cerâmica (e não porcelana como outras versões mais baratas) e que todas as peças são produzidas na frança, o que o diferencia de outras versões mais baratas. Prós: O produto é uma peça sólida, robusta e de muita qualidade. Não encontrei um lasca sequer e, se bem cuidado, imagino ser um item duradouro a ser mantido como uma peça de coleção por muitos e muitos anos. A parte de fora é esmaltada e a parte interna não totalmente (apenas a borda). Pelo que pude pesquisar, isso é para ajudar que a umidade do ar não passe para o sal (ficando retida no produto). A cor areia é simplesmente linda. Já econtrei modelos de saleiros idênticos a este Emile H., mas apenas em porcelana que, embora bonitos, são muito claros (excessivamente brancos) pela porcelana e também muito delicados, lascando facilmente. Isso não acontece com esse modelo, que tem uma cor neutra bem agradável aos olhos e também não é uma peça tão frágil. Ainda assim, requer cuidado. Pontos de atenção: Assim como outras peças da marca, percebi que o logo não fica tão evidente quanto nas imagens. A resina/esmalte cobre o logo e não deixa o relevo do logo tão aparente. É apenas um detalhe cosmético, mas seria bom ter isso mais explícito nos anúncios. Esse foi o único detalhe que me incomodou, mas não tira a funcionalidade do produto.
