Great for your child's development
This is a lot of fun but the noises can drive you a bit mad after a while but seeing the face on your child when they are having fun with it makes it worth putting up with the noise. Interactive toys are great for your child's development.

Simple
Happy, simple interactive toy, loved by my son. He plays with it every day, but not for long.Nice sound and an attractive face.Small and portable too!Recommended for 9 months plus.

Not much entertainment value.
I wasn't impressed by this, I'm afraid, it's more likely to annoy the parents than entertain the child. The articulated head only swivels to different positions and doesn't add to any of the sounds. The demo button is also a mode button and switches between various modes which are remarkably similar. The break dancing mode is when you manually spin the turtle on it's back while it plays music. Alternatively it just plays 'music' or giggles or snores, it seems like a toy that is meant more for a young baby than 18m plus as it states. If you can make sense of the instructions in the bottom of the box describing the different modes of play, you have more intelligence and patience than I do! I think it is pricy for what it is.

Disappointing
I did think this might be an entertaining toddler toy, but to be honest it really failed to impress. It isn't particularly cute and my toddler granddaughter looked distinctly unimpressed when she was given it to play with. It was quickly discarded in favour of some stacking tumblers, so even the lights and sounds failed to excite her. Don't feel many children would be interested enough to explore what seem to be very complicated, slightly bizarre functions of this toy. Definitely one to leave on the shelf.

Requires good attention span to benefit fully from functions
This toy had a lot of potential but unfortunately my children just didn't take to it. My daughter at 21 months loved his lights and certainly found him cute. But she found the tickling concept difficult. To tickle something that is hard plastic is odd. Plus it isn't really tickling it is rubbing. I struggled to explain to her to tickle it.The sounds are cute and funny, they certainly made her laugh a bit. But it is rather quiet. In a noisy household where the tv is practically always on, I found this could not come near to competing. Even when the house was less lively it is certainly not a loud toy. But for only children that can be nice for the parents. But if your house is a mad house, this toy that makes music and noise may be drowned out. There are a few different things you can do with the turtle. He has a few different game modes. They're all described in the instructions. But to be honest, they are not well defined. The write up suggests that my child will be able to differentiate between cause and effect but I personally struggled to. It he does come with plenty of sounds, lights, songs and music. For me, I think this is an ideal long journey in the car /on the train toy. He isn't huge and he can be taken along to entertain.Or, if the child does not have a lot of choice they may have a longer attention span and actually sit down with this and work it out. I think the potential is there for it to be really enjoyed fully by more astute children.Yuri the turtle is really well made. He is robust and made of great quality plastics.

Well built and entertaining
Tomy have been making toys for so many years now we're familiar with the quality of the brand. This little turtle is attractive in colour and sure to please younger children, age group from 18 months upwards but our little one is a year old and loves it. It switches on at the back and to activate the child just needs to press the button on first leg. Lights of various colours begin to flash and music starts to play, surprisingly good light show when the turtle lies on his back to spin. Area in the middle to hear giggle sounds, that was very popular in my family. All in all it's a good toy to take along or play at home but don't expect the multiple teaching skills that more expensive Tomy toys are known for.
