Paper Doll

THE MUSIC WAS GOOD AND THE ALBUM CAME IN GOOD CONDITION.

What heavenly voices, what dreamy harmonies, what sweetly innocent lyrics from a simpler time...Not to worry, nothing slow or sappy--I bought this very upbeat CD because I'd heard their WWII song "Till Then" and was looking for more of the same. What I found on this CD is even better. I believe these songs were also 40s recordings, but I can't be certain. There are only ten tracks, but every one of them just makes me melt. I'm 29, and I can't believe I've lived nearly 30 years without it. Highly recommended!!

All songs on the CD one mess \ entanglement. The first song must be "Paper Doll", instead, I hear Baby, Won't You Please Come Home?. I dont understand why for the 3 CD using a case for 4 CD and one place is empty.

Wait a second.This small collection of Mills Bros. tracks was issued by MCA, owner of the masters? Geez. Is it really possible that all they could do for the first three songs here (only the best of the 10, BTW) is dub them from pop and tick-infested LPs?Oy.There's better out there. For example, check out the sound bites of "Paper Doll," "Lazy River" and "You Always Hurt (etc.)" on this MCA disc:  THE BEST OF THE DECCA YEARS . Light filtering = zero surface noise.
