This has changed my life with respect to greenhouse glass!
Arrived well packaged and looked solid and well made. Perhaps a bit expensive for what I received. No instructions!...but there's a red line that I intuitively lined up with the area that I had scratched with the glass cutter.Cutting new glass is apparently easy!? I wanted to recycle glass from double glazing. Loads of microfractures as a result of being used, and then further abused from being thrown into the skip. So...I managed to remove the (not so) sealed units from a double glazing unit by following the obligatory YouTube tutorials, and then had a nightmare trying to cut the glass. Cut would go half way along the scratch and then shatter in any direction it felt like. See attached photo of the quality of glass I got for recycling! This it despite trying to use clamps to hold the glass firmly on the side I wanted to keep.Switching to this device resulted in a ridiculously clean cut. Remember that this is waste second hand glass! This cost me £47!.....but it will save me that on my greenhouse. I have 14 cracked panes to replace and I was being charged £8 a pane for custom 4mm thick sized sheets. (The glass from the last batch of reclaimed glazing units is 6mm - The device worked well on both in the tests I carried out)Every allotment should have at least one person with this device (or similar).Key points (and tips):1. Make sure that your glass cutter has a label on the bit that holds the tiny cutting wheel that is the correct thickness for the glass in question.2. Make sure that you use the tool the right way on the glass. (The bit that you 'screw' to adjust to the thickness of the glass must be on the opposite side to the scratch....or scratch both sides of the glass).3. The device is limited to snapping off about 3cm. Less than that and it isn't very reliable. (There are additional bits to place in the extra free holes in the device which may improve this......but no instructions!

Amazing offer
This is a godsend to anyone starting up. I'm starting up doing stained glass again. I bought some of the pieces already before I had seen this offer. I live in Dublin Ireland and it cost 100 euro. That was for four items. This has 16 items for 100 sterling.

Fonctionne bien
Je fais des vitraux en Tiffany cette pince est d'une aide précieuse cependant elle se bloque un peu lorsqu'elle est ouverte, on verre à l'usage, peut-être en mettant de l'huile...

A nice beginners set
The only thing that I missed was an instruction sheet to say what each tool is best for.

Good bang for the buck.
I thought it was a good value for a beginner in stained glass like myself. If I stick with it I will probably buy better quality tools, but this a great starter kit!
