Sharp, efficient and made in Portugal
Spatchcocked and then quartered a chicken easily. Only used twice but has done a great job to date.

A disappointment
These appealed to me right away: A classic design, all-metal, German - and most importantly for me: an old-fashioned rolled-spring which would last forever .... unlike the last two Poultry Shears I've bought - which both suffered the same failure: a weak spring which is incorporated into the pivot screw - and breaks. So what could be wrong? Simply this: they are ergonomically poor. I have big hands - and I cannot open the jaws wide enough and maintain good control over the handles. In fact - if you want to use the notched cutter at the end of the blades, your grip is so stretched that you are unable to apply sufficient pressure on the handles. I suppose this is the reason we innovate classic designs .... to improve on original design deficiencies. NOT recommended. (The one star is because they look nice).
