Best I've found, use it properly and it CANNOT leak
I evaluated a dozen or so oil drain pan containers in the < $40 range. This one has features that, combined, none of the others had. The others all had one or more, but not all:<1> Translucent, for easy visibility of oil level.<2> Drain pan hole high up the side when in vertical position to avoid leaks.<3> Vent hole high up the side when in both vertical and horizontal position to avoid leaks.<4> Main pour spout offset to the high side when in horizontal position to avoid leaks (it's obviously already on the high side vertical position).Unlike many others, if used *properly* this container CANNOT leak because the oil level never reaches any of the holes in either vertical or horizontal position. If the oil level reaches any of the holes in either position, you have over-filled and any leaks are down to user error. And it's easy to tell if you're at risk of overfilling since you can see the level through the translucent plastic. In fact, my drain pan cap weeps ever so slightly, but I won't bother returning it because I don't care - I'll never overfill it, so it won't be a problem. (The main cap doesn't leak, and I didn't test the vent cap.)I probably wouldn't trust the pan portion of this container, or any other like it, for vehicles with side-discharge or high-flow high-flow drains. I haven't tested, but the pan may not be large enough for side-discharge and the hole many not drain fast enough for high-flow situations. But that's irrelevant to me, since I have Stahlbus oil drain plugs in my vehicles, which allows me to easily drain via a valve & tube.

Just What the Doctor Ordered
Just like many Amazon buyers, I do a lot of research and read through many reviews before making a purchase. When it came time for me to buy an oil catch pan / container there was a surprisingly small selection. The main competitor to this brand had too many negative reviews calling into question build quality / leaks. Used car oil is obviously not something you want to take a chance spilling so I knew I had to find something better. This is when I stumbled upon the Matrix Concepts selection (smaller size than this). Those were highly rated but apparently too small for bigger jobs, holding 4-5 quarts max but luckily they had a brand new release item - the one I'm writing the review for (M28-115).I have to say, this thing perfectly fulfilled all the criteria I had set forth:Build Quality: Excellent. This thing is built with thick plastic and I felt confident sliding it around the pavement under my car. The top cap, drain valve, and air vent all close tightly and do not leak.Design: Relatively deep and wide (11" x 14") catch pan with the drain plug as high off the floor as possible when in upright position. Speaking of which, this thing is designed to stand on its side and is rather sturdy when doing so, it's currently standing up in my garage with about ~4 quarts in it and even trying to knock it over with light force it rocks back and forth a few times before stopping. The only thing that could be a negative is that if you take out the drain plug completely the drain bolt from your car could theoretically fall in there, (~.8-.9" opening with cap off) although it's very unlikely. That is only a concern if you take the drain cap all the way off which you don't have to do.Overall, I can't think of a single complaint about this thing, just be ready to wipe it off after you're done changing oil but you'll be doing that regardless.Easily 5 stars

Developed leak
I was very happy with this when it showed up, unfortunately it did not last. After a year it developed a small leak in the side of the container which allowed the oil to weep all over the garage floor. Always cared for, never abused.

Very large storage capacity
Can fit all the oil from my motorcycle, truck, boat, scooter. One trip per year to dispose of oil. Oil splatters everywhere due to shallow catch basin. Other than that a perfect product. No idea why so expensive, but nobody else has such a nifty design. I think I just answered my own question.

Big nice and sturdy wont leak
After 1 change it is a third full. There is a line that is not recommended to go above, my car holds about 4.5 or 5 quarts of oil. It saves me 2 trips to the oil recycle station. Time and money if you count gas to drive there. I love this thing so long as you dont leave the air valve open or the cap off, it will not leak at all and is thick plastic so it will be hard to puncture. Best oil pan just also have some shop towels to clean it off when finished
