Amazing product. Beat out the non-functioning OEM!
Ok, Lots of people have reviewed this product, and there are some good, some bad. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I own a Kenmore Elite 76150 15 100 BTU 115V Window-Mounted Room Air Conditioner. This thing is a beast of an AC wall mount. The OEM remote was iffy from the get-go, then stopped working altogether. Had to walk up to the unit and manually set it to what I needed it at. When I found this remote on Amazon, I thought I'd give it a try. Price was good, claims to work with any and all models listed on the pamphlet. I did the programming with the initial 4 digit code, no luck. I did the manual approach and successfully turned off my appliance, but the code still didn't work. Tried 3, 4, 5 times. Then I thought about trying something different. At the end of the manual process, you are pressing "1". I thought to myself that this could be the "1" at the beginning of my code already, so instead of typing in 4 digits, I may be typing in 5 digits by mistake, throwing off the programming. I entered the remaining 3 digits, and BAAM! It worked. This thing works from afar, does ALL of the functions that my OEM remote did, and does NOT have to be within line of sight (but you might have to if you want to see the screen :) ). Anyhow, this remote did the job, I got full wireless freedom with my AC again, and I have nothing but praise to say about this product.

Does wierd things with Artic King
The code did work (Both did) but the buttons don't match the function label (example, "Sleep" triggered "Energy Saver" It also changed my display from F to C, and won't change it back with the standard commands in the manual. About all this is good for is if you want to turn off your AC (but not back on! power button only turns it off, it beeps, but doesn't turn back on with power button) or don't mind trying to play rullete with the buttons to find the button you /really/ wanted.

This little remote saved my life in the heat
It is not every day that a $10 product can change your life, but this one did. I live in an old building with 11 foot ceilings, and the main cooling comes from an old Amana air conditioner that is installed in the wall at ceiling height, and the remote is long gone. Add to this that I am an amputee who works most of his day in a wheelchair and lives in far south Florida and you can see that I really needed a way to control the air conditioner. i can't climb a ladder to adjust the thing and the only way to turn the thing on and off was to hit a breaker at a lower level. This caused the air conditioner's reset button to pop off regularly, leaving me with no cooling. That reset button was, you guessed it, at ceiling level. So I took a chance on this little gem because it was in stock and all the others would have taken almost a month to get. It was here in a couple of days. I opened the package, pulled the plastic tab to activate the supplied battery per the instructions (its a CR-2032 flat battery, they are everywhere), found the 4-digit code for Amana and entered it in the simplest process I've ever gone through. It worked properly on the first attempt and I was able to turn my air conditioner on and off, and adjust the temperature. The instructions indicated it could do more things, but I didn't bother because all I wanted to do was those two functions, and I can't really get up there to see what else the air conditioner does. The only criticism I have of the unit is that it is tiny and prone to getting lost. Pick a place for it and leave it there. Better yet, buy two and keep one handy for when your first one gets lost. I give this one two thumbs up.

Doesn’t always work
It doesn’t have a wide range so I keep having to keep hitting the button again & again but sometimes it works. Not too hard to program but sometime I have to reprogram it. It’s the only remote I could find that worked with my ac unit so I’m still happy with the purchase

No frills tiny dynamite of a remote. Works great with my Frigidaire.
I am very pleased with my AnyCommand Universal AC Remote. It works nearly perfect with my Frigidaire window A/C unit. ((There are two codes for Frigidaire units. The first one worked.)) There are one or two specialized settings the remote doesn't access, but for 90% of everything else it's perfect. The remote is small, light, and attractive. The buttons work with a light push. It uses a popular size cell battery that is easily replaceable. For the price, it's an tiny investment that carries a lot of convenience. It was also super easy to program. I wasn't to sure what to expect when I purchase this remote to replace the one I misplaced during a move, but I have no regrets. This is a fantastic little remote. I like it better than the original A/C remote the came with the unit. I highly recommend it.

Really small, slippery, and easy to loose but better then the crappy Frigidaire OEM remote
Works on a little Frigidaire window AC but, the buttons are not an exact match for function to the OEM remote (junk) but, it works fine enough and you adapt and understand it pretty quick. I suspect this is because it has to work on many brands so, the buttons work but, respond differently. You will see what I mean when you use it. No big deal but, don't freak out. You will adapt. My big criticism of it is that it is black. The black was cheaper so, of course, that is the one I bought. But they should just not make dark remotes because these things are most commonly used in a bedroom. Just way too easy to loose or misplace. It is also very slippery and very small (the OEM was worse, but just by a hair). I would be OK with it if it was more designed for average hand size even if the electronics in it were small inside. But bigger buttons and just more human scale rather then Lilliputian.

Remote is garbage
I bought two of these, for two separate units, since one of my original remotes wasn't working correctly anymore. The remote is supposed to work with a Commercial Cool window unit AC. I followed the very simple instructions included. The 3 codes provided for setup didn't work so I inputted the manual search. It connected to the AC but the only thing it did was change the unit setting from Farenheight to Celsius with no way to change it back. (There's no setting button for that on the remote, or instructions on what to do if there's an issue.) It would only power back on if I hit the timer button and wouldn't change any of the other settings. I called the phone number on the instruction sheet and, as usual, ended up speaking to someone in India that didn't have a clue how to help with the issue unless I could give them the name, birth weight, and zodiac sign of my firstborn child. Since my window unit isn't new, I no longer have the paperwork on it, and the person from India wanted information on the AC that isn't on the unit itself. I explained that to her and we went in circles with no resolution. Outcome: I now have a handwritten Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion chart just so I can manually set my AC temperature, no working remote, and I'm out the cost of two useless pieces of plastic.

Works with a brand not listed, too!
Wow. I wasn't expecting it to work. We have an Ice Air, an HVAC equipment that our building installed (i.e., not a portable AC). It was not on the list of 50 or so brands that are expressly said to work with this remote. So I did the manual search for the code, and it works! The buttons are not quite right, and the things that we can do with the remote are limited to turning it off, turning it on at high (64 degree), low (80 degree) or medium (74 degree) on the cooling mode, and turning it on at auto mode at a 76 degree setting. But that's good enough for my poor wife, who otherwise needs to get herself up and walk over to the AC to turn it on or off when our toddler wakes up (multiple times a night) because it's too hot or too cold. Total life-changer! One tip for those doing the manual code search: Press "1" as soon as the AC responds (i.e., as soon as the AC turns off in response to your repeatedly pressing on the power button). Otherwise, you will get three blinking red lights on the remote, which means you have failed to put in a working code. I figured this out after a few tries.

A tip for portable AC users (danby)
I took a chance on this remote based on a couple people in the reviews mentioning it worked with their portable AC. Now this thing was tricky to get working, following the instruction exactly I couldn’t get it to work and thought I was out of luck. After some trial and error though I was able to get it to work: when following the instructions under “searching for codes” press and hold the setup button much longer/harder than you think you need to (like a good 5-10 seconds). Release. The light should be solid red now. Now press and hold the 8 button the same way (5-10 seconds, push hard). Release. Now start cycling through the codes by pressing the circular power button. For me it usually works within the first couple presses. After you unit responds to the remote quickly press 1 and you should be good. Be careful not to drop the remote as like others have mentioned it will reset itself. Good luck!

Perfecto!
La mayoría de los otros controles remoto están por encima de los 500 pesos, pero este pequeño funcionó sin problema por menos de 1/4 del valor de los otros.

Not working with my AC
I have a portable Danby AC for which the. remote broke and I hoped this one would fit the bill. Unfortunately it doesn't work with it. Wasn't 'really possible to know in advance, which is why I'm only giving 2 stars. Otherwise the quality itself seems ok. Not great, not bad, but would do the job.

Doesn't work
I tried to get the remote to sync with my A/C (Commercial Cool Portable) but it wouldn't work. There also isn't any instructions that comes with the remote so I wasn't sure if I was doing the setup correctly. I would press the button, and hold it down for a few seconds, but either way it wouldn't work and the A/C wasn't taking the commands I was pressing. It does specifically state "Window" A/C but some other commenters mentioned it worked with their portable's so I figured I would give it a try. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me so it's going to gather dust since it's past the return period.

Didn't work for my portable air conditioner
It said it would work with any model, but didn't. Complete waste of $$. Fortunately I found the manufacturers remote the next day
