Covers the inevitable nutrition gaps, but tasty enough for kids to eat them
These little chewable stars are sweet and flavorful enough that the kids will take them. That's the first and most important battle. But equally important, these have a very wide range of nutrition to cover almost any gaps in what your kids are eating. Of course, we all wish we could make healthy and diverse foods every day. But some days, real kids only want to eat noodles, or McNuggets, or whatever other thing they're fixated on for the day. The Rainbow Light Nutri Stars have a huge range of vitamins and minerals to make sure that your kids will get their vitamins even if their diets aren't perfect.A quick word about iron. Many adult products contain too much iron for kids, and kids can be severely harmed by iron overdose. This product contains a small amount of carbonyl iron. Carbonyl iron is probably the best choice for a kid's product because it's the toughest to overdose on -- it's absorbed very slowly very low in the gut. It also doesn't contain much iron, so it seems to be a good balance between safety and making sure your kids get at least a little bit of iron each day.

Love these! Have tried other and I always come back!
These vitamins are great. They are kind of gritty and not the best tasting, but they are effective. My girls can tolerate them and don't really complain much. Now as for all of the reviews with the spots, that's what happens when they come in contact with ANY moisture. It happened to me once I knew immediately what caused it. My daughter had just finished washing her hands, dried them as best a 5 year old can and stuck her moist hand in the container wanting to do it herself. Avoid sticking your hand in the container, I usually take them out for the girls now, just tilt and tap them out. Close the container immediately. I think their sensitivity to moisture is due to lack of coating and explains why they place so many of those little antimoisture packets, their women's, prenatal vitamins, etc are exactly the same. I've been using all types of supplements from this brand for years and they almost all discolor when moist.

Work for Adults Though Flavor to Be Desired
Initially saw this on my Kroger app, then later on Amazon for a slightly better deal. Didn't realize it was for kids, though there are serving sizes adequate for adults listed. Decided to give a try since vitamin and mineral containments and quantities looked pretty darn good, even though advertised towards kids. Also, wanted something that didn't need to be refrigerated (my former multi-vitamin) and that didn't require swallowing in pill form (I already have plenth of those)--all so that I could more easily and regularly take my multi-vitamin and not have stomach problems (which I suspected was from my refrigerated multi-vitamin). This multi-vitamin has digestive enzymes in it and is more shelf-stable.So far it has been proving great to have. I am certainly better about taking my multi because of the chewable factor and I notice a difference when I don't take these. However, the taste is not too great. Tolerable enough, but not as exciting as my other chewable supplements. I'm not sure how kids would like this since it has a certain tart, mild bitterness to it. I'm guesding the taste is due to the herb and vegetable combo(?) and/or "natural" orange and pineapple flavorings in it. Of course, different people have different taste buds. And this is a quality vitamin supplement that is easy to travel with.I've been a multi-vitamin shopper and user for decades. This is one of the better ones. I'll probably keep using it until something better (ideally in taste) comes around.

Great product!
This review is for the Rainbow Light Nutri Stars (children's chewable multi). Our daughter can be very skeptical about trying new things, but she didn't hestitate with these and loves taking them. They are shaped like stars with sunglasses, smell like fruit-flavored chewing gum, and have a pleasant taste. They are chewables, so they get just a tad powdery once you crush them, but I don't get the "tasteless chalk" effect another reviewer complained about. These are great for my picky vitamin-taker, all-natural, taste good, we don't have to fight to get them down, and they have a lot of healthy extras that most other vitamins leave out. AND, since they don't have food coloring or artificial sweetener, she doesn't get squirmy or throw fits after taking them.

Nutristars- My kids like them
This review is for the Rainbow Light Nutri Stars Chewable Multivitamin (120 tabs) for kids. Many of the Rainbow Light reviews seemed to be lumped together, so I wanted to clarify that.Trying to find a good multivitamin for my kids without a lot of sugar, dyes, etc has been difficult. I couldn't find anything close at stores like Target or Walmart, so I turned to Amazon. I take and like the Rainbow Light Just One multivitamin for women, so I decided to give the kids' version a try.Pros:no dyes, artificial colors or flavorslove the star shapeTwo day delivery for me with Amazon Prime- a HUGE convenienceMy kids really like the taste- hooray. I tried one and also thought they tasted good.ConsServing size for kids over 4 years is two vitamins a day.... not necessarily a con at my house, since my kids really like the taste, but something to be aware of if your kids don't like taking pillsThis isn't a 100% complete, all you need type of vitamin. Two chewables provide only 8% of the daily recommended calcium and 26% of the RDA for Vitamin D for a child over 4 years . Again, this is not a huge con for me, since my kids drink milk, eat yogurt and like to play outside. This could get pricey if you have several kids taking 2 vitamins a dayBut I am happy that two tabs provide 66% of the iron my kids need. Iron and calcium bind each other, so you don't want to take all your daily calcium and iron together. Also- your body can only absorb about 500 mg of calcium at one sitting, max.So, overall, I was looking for a good multivit that would supplement my kids already fairly healthy diet but not provide everything with one pill. I think this fits the bill very nicely.
