Brilliant! Tried during lockdown and experimented cooking in hot oil and in microwave. Microwave is much better! Puffy flavoursome puppadums at home!

Not sure
Tried these tonight. If u microwave them for more than 10 seconds they burn and smell like melted plastic, I burnt 2 of them. When you get them right there ok if a little small. My problem with them is the supermarket pre cooked ones are cheaper, larger and taste better.

All Banyan products are top quality, i especially love the kashmiri chilli. These smaller papadums are just right. 5 stars plus

Out of Date Food Product
Simply out of date by a considerable period of time, aug 2020, other products from the banyan range however were lovely and notable for freshness ... such a shame

Crispy and Savory
First of all, fair disclosure: I'm not of Indian descent, if that matters to you for a review of Indian food. This being said, I know papadums mainly from restaurants as an appetizer they give you right away and you can't get enough of. These papadums are up to par, and are great even to just microwave them. They come out just as crispy - cook them for maybe a minute (this is for about five of them at a time), then let them sit for another minute or so because that's where they harden. Be careful not to overcook them because they will burn & smoke (think of burnt popcorn in the microwave). They're a bit dry on their own, though I'll still eat them straight like that, but it's recommended to pair them with a chutney for that reason. The taste is mild and savory.

Tasty, crunchy and flavorful!! 👌👌
5 Stars! Love these BanyanTree Foods Madras Poppadums. We got this on a whim, I wasn’t sure that microwaving them would have the same taste as frying them, but it was super crunchy and just as tasty when we microwaved it. Make sure that you know how powerful your microwave is, for us 1 poppadum was ready in 30 seconds. Typically it takes 1 minute for a regular poppadum, but this one is quick. If you leave it in the microwave for longer it’ll get burnt. So watch carefully the first time you do it. It’s a perfect snack that has an irresistible taste, once we start eating we just can’t stop.. 😊 Highly recommended!!

Light and crispy snack, but saltier than I'm used to
These papadum are super-convenient and came out surprisingly well from the microwave. Just 30 seconds was enough to transform the flat disc of dough into a light and crispy cracker. Frying in oil adds a little extra flavor, so that's my preferred cooking method, but it's nice to have a quicker option.Flavor-wise, these papadum are nicely nutty but considerably saltier than the ones I'm used getting at Indian restaurants. Normally, I can enjoy papadum even while plain, but these were salty enough that I really needed some sweet chutney to balance out the flavors. I'm not sure if this is a batch variation issue or if it's just the way this brand does things.Overall, these papadum are very easy to prepare and taste good with sweet sauces, but I wish they were a little less salty. Four stars.

Quick and easy
It is very easy to prepare. Just pop them in the microwave, watch closely to make sure you don't heat them too long and you will have crunchy big pieces of chips. These are great for dips. I use them for different types of dips and use them as substitutes for bread when serving stews or curries.I believe they are made of lentils, so they are good for low carb or keto diets.
