Sennheiser HDR 160 Headphone (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I've used these headphones for 1.5 years now and they still work extremely well. When I say use, I mean on a daily basis multiple times a day. I bought a pair for myself and my son to keep the noise down for my wife. Easy to connect multiple headsets and the sound quality is great. I do have a small kink in the wires going to the base unit. I have to giggle it sometimes to get the green light to come on.Really what I was looking for was a noise cancelling wireless headset(similar to the wired Bose Quietcomfort 15s). I could not find any such headsets on the market, so I went with these. These are not noise cancelling, but still work extremely well. I wasn't sure how they would work, but I looked an these were getting great reviews on Amazon. Took a chance and was really blown away.The headphones have not broken and the foam on the ear pieces have not broken down. I payed a little extra for the Sennheisers, but it was well worth the money. I'm hoping that we can use them for many more years to come.

These headphones are great. Purchased them to watch TV at night without disturbing anyone else. They are comfortable and offer great sound quality. We also purchased the HRS 160 RF secondary headphones and we needed the Y cable to hook them up to our TV.The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the instructions. The instructions come in 10 languages that are not very clear at all. I couldn't get more than 1 set to sync up. Until I figured it out, then I was able to sync 3 headsets to one receiver. Here are basic instructions to syncing these up:Once RS 160 RF is hooked up, hold down the power button on top of the receiver for 7-8 seconds, until it's flashing ( I count to 10 slowly)Turn on the HDR 160 by holding down the power button on the headset for 7-8 seconds, until it's flashing fast.Wait until both sets blink or flash at the same time and speed, this is about one blink every 2-3 seconds apart. Now you should be able to watch the same show on both headphones.This is where it gets tricky, sometimes the headphones just turn on, but don't flash fast, therefore don't sync up. Sometimes the receiver turns on but doesn't flash (or blink) fast. This is the key point, if they don't sync up you have to turn both units off and start over.Once they sync up it's easy to use on a regular basis. We love these so much we purchased a second set for our kids to use in the gaming room.

All I got in the package was the headphones and batteries, with no way of how to connect to the TV. Such a waste of money, headphones won't connect to anything, no cables nothing provided. So instructions on how to connect to the TV, so that was a complete waste of my money. It should say that there is no way for these headphones to work, DO NOT BUY, such a waste of money, why buy headphones that have no way to connect to anything. Unbelievable!!

These headphones are great. I ordered them as a second set of headphones to go with the main set (RS160). Don't believe the low-starred comments on this product that claim the charger/transmitter wasn't included...it doesn't come with this item. It's just a set of headphones and rechargeable batteries. The charger/transmitter comes with the RS160. The charger included with the RS160 has two power outputs. Usually, one of them is plugged into the transmitter to power it and one is open for charging the headphones, but if you need to charge both at one time, you can pull the one from the transmitter to make it happen.I have small children, and these headphones (along with the RS160) allow my wife and me to watch movies and TV at full volume after the kids have gone to bed. The range is great, we don't suffer from any interference. I'm not an audiophile, but the quality is acceptable. There's a bit of playing around to figure out that transmitter has it's own volume. If that's turned way down and you jack the headphones way up, it will sound awful. If you set it up correctly, though, it's perfect for the average listener who just wants to watch TV/movies without waking up the kids.

I bought this and the standard matching unit to link it to. This unit works great. The added benifit of portability was an unexpected benifit. We just drove from San Francisco to Salm Springs with a 3 and 8 year olds. Plugging this into the DVD player was great and lasted the whole trip. But I was never sure when the unit was on or off but the light feed back. With the off button in the middle of the volume buttons it is too easy to turn off the unit.All in all I like the unit.

I'm a married man with two kids with tons of movies that me and my wife weren't able to watch before I got this. I love to watch tv with the volume up high. I've been looking for headphones for a while and after reading reviews and searching for a while, I decided to spend some money and get a quality product and this is it. First I purchased a Sennheiser 160 system, not from Amazon. You can hook up to four units in one system. Then I purchased an additional unit from Amazon and paired it with the system following the instructions. Both headsets work simultaneously producing beautiful crisp noise free sound with no interference whatsoever(best quality). I have a long bedroom with a 46" led tv and I'm at least 25 feet from the tv one end of the room to the other. Watching tv late at night with the wife when the kids go to sleep is an amazing experience now. We both set our own standards of audio level. The bass is not exceptional but it's just right. We're able to hear noises in movies that we couldn't really possibly think of before, like the sound of rain drops in the background in some movies. The whole movie theater enjoyment has come back to us after 4 years, my eldest son's age. I am really enjoying this product.

Aussi les boutons pour le son + ou - ou en veille, etc. sont mal placés et il est assez difficile de saisir leur mode d'opération du système.Somme toute, excellent système mais fragile. Super produit ! Qualité sonore et confort sont au rdv. J'ai juste changé les mousses pour des mousses velour, plus agréables que les mousses d'origine.

We purchased two sets of headphones with one base so we can listen at different sound levels. Our house is so peaceful now and no complaints from our downstairs tenants about the loud TV. The sound quality is much better than the television sound and outside noise is quitemuffled. The earphones are very comfortable and easily adjustable. I would highly recommend this product. Delivery was also very prompt.

We received this as the second earphone for my wife we had to phone Sennheiser how to make the second ear phone work with our Sennheiser RS 160 Digital Wireless. We were walked through so that both earphones would work at the same time. It worked when we were walked through We left it a few days without touching anything and of course one or the other earphone didn't work, If everytime we want it to work we have to work through so the system connects both earphones is a pain. We Are really disappointed.

Sennheiser wireless headphones are the only ones I will buy for my wireless TV viewing.. I have a 2 of HDR160, and 2 of HDR180.. I am VERY pleased with BOTH, the extra $$$ was well spent.. I have NEVER experienced weird wows and drop outs on the signal.. THe headphones are comfy and have lasted 2 years so far (the oldest HDR160 I have).. You get what you pay for, and these are WORTH IT..
