MXR® Iso-Brick™ Power Supply

This power supply is perfect for my acoustic pedal board. All of the cables are included plus 1 extra “Y” cable to run from the power supply to 2 pedals. I use all 5 of the outputs and have no issues. It is quiet, tiny, and does not affect the sound of my guitar.

Works Great. Have it powering (4) 9v pedals and using the side output @18v to drive my Eden WTDI amplifier which eliminates a wall wart. Very small and fits under my Voodoo Labs Dingbat Small pedal board. Highly recommend.

For the power that it offers and its size and construction you cannot spend your money any better than this. And if you can find it on sale, even better. Because of the 9 V outlets 350 mA power reserves along with the 18 V having 800 mA of power, you have all the power you need! In my case, I have three 18 V pedals two of which needed 300 mA each, with the other requiring 100 mA. It runs them flawlessly and quietly using a 3 way power cable. That cable, I had to buy separately. It comes with most of the cables you need, including a splitter to run two pedals from a single outlet. Because of the 350 mA of power coming from a single 9 V outlet, you can even daisy chain pedals together from a single outlet as long as you calculate the number of milliamps your pedals need. I only daisy chain my analog pedals. The digital ones I tend to isolate. The only other power supply, I would even consider, is the Cioks DC7. Check it out if you need other voltages. Each power outlet can be configured for four different voltages, and it has tons of reserve power. However, it costs over twice as much as the MXR, but you will not be disappointed.

Great power supply for small to medium boards. Value of this is insane and is a great power supply for the average hobbyist .

I've looked at a lot of the popular power supplies on the market like some of the voodoo labs and Truetone 1spot bricks and this one seemed to have the right amount of outputs for the price. I'm surprised that these don't seem to be more popular. I had some noise before I bought this and now everything is quite and absolutely no noise (still a little pickup hum, but my noise gate squashes that completely; no power noise at all). The LEDs are very bright but I guess that is better than not bright enough. I have a Pedaltrain Pro and the cables were long enough that I was able to string my Time Machine nearly all the way to the opposite corner of the board. I was a little concerned about the "sag" outputs but it seems that you can just set them to 9V and they act as a normal 9V output. Also another huge point that I didn't really see anyone talking about on the internet: it seems to power the Digitech Whammy 5 flawlessly. NOTE: this is the version 5 that is 9VDC from the factory (not the AC older versions). So the original Whammy power brick and input say 1300mA, but the Whammy manual says that it consumes <265mA. I think the adapter is a generic Harmon adapter for many things and so they just want you to use what they already make which happens to be 1300mA max. The pedal will only pull the required amperage from the brick at 9V, which again is <265mA and I'm pretty confident that value is accurate, otherwise it wouldn't be in the manual. To be safe I put it on the 450mA output and it works great! It is small and has four 300mA connections and one 500mA connection. An excellent choice for small pedalboards.

The M238 and M239 are easily confused with MXRs DC brick, which does not isolate the ports. I have used these isolated port bricks on dozens of boards. The size of the unit, the variety of volts/ milliamps, and the price, make them the perfect choice. If you have a noise problem, it’s one or more of your pedals.

This is a great unit at a good price. This is in fact my third one. I was using two with a substancial pedal board and without thinking, sold them with all of my pedals and started using a multieffects unit. I have since sold my multieffects unit and have gone back to a series of pedals, thus needing the unit again. It is not noisy and works like it should. And the price is right.
