This is the royalty of all ice packs.
I'm not kidding. These suckers are fantastic.I was introduced to these packs after a tonsillectomy and nasal reconstruction surgery; it's what the surgery center I went to used. Since then, I've used the pack for other ailments. I'm not a fan of taking medications for ailments but, I'm still a human being with fully-functional pain receptors. So, when I sprain something, twist wrong at the gym, have the on-set of a migraine, etc., I take this puppy out of the freezer to keep pain and inflammation at bay. What's different about this ice pack compared to others on the market? Above all, it's very-very-very malleable, even when it's right out of the freezer -- this is something I often complained about when using ice packs in the past -- when I have an injury in the crook of my neck, the pack should mold to my neck. It also stays cold for quite some time, holds up well and is filled with non-toxic goo (a scientific term). In addition, because of how cold this stays, I've also used it in coolers for lunches, etc.So, after 4 years of regular use from this pack, when my cat's claws accidentally punctured a hole in it, releasing the goo, I immediately came to Amazon to purchase more. I love that this item is a 2 pack -- it makes it so much easier to swap in and out of the freezer, should the need arise.....I know it's "accu-THERM" and can also be used as a hot pack. I've never experimented with the hot portion. ...if I need hot, I generally just go straight to my heating pad.In short, if you want the king and queen of ice packs, invest in this set of Accu-Therm reusable gel packs. They will serve you well!

squishy gel and package sturdiness are great
Just a quick note. You need to get at least two of these so one can be in the freezer while you are using the other. I takes about 2 hours to get it cold again. I've tried a wide variety of re-usable cold packs and this one is by far the most versatile. When frozen, the cold pack can be molded because the gel is squishy. If your freezer is really code then it may be somewhat hard but just a few minutes and you can mold it into any shape. The cold pack is very sturdy and can be used over and over again. A lot of cold packs are either very hard or they are not sturdy and the gel leaks out or they have both features which are undesirable. This one is neither.

Outstanding cold pack, Stays pliable when ice cold, withstands years of frequent use, hospital quality product, good for any age
I stumbled upon this item when I was looking up hot water bottles to use to relieve my abdominal cramps and I was overly excited because I recognized the familiarity of the packaging and name of the product. A few of these were provided to my father from a Florida hospital after his total knee replacement and then a year later I received my own two from an emergency visit when I found out that I had a fractured wrist. These were great and used by my entire immediate family (parents, sister and I) for years because they remained flexible even when frozen thanks to the solid state change freeze resistant gel within! *That was a major point why we loved them.* The few that we had lasted for YEARS (2001 until probably about 2009) and I was disappointed when they finally started to wear down at the seams and sprung small leaks. So, once I saw these I told my mom and planned to purchase at least one with my next order placement to verify that they were the same product as back then. When I received the first one I was pleased to see that it was the same exact cold pack! It remains entirely pliable when ice cold after being in the freezer as it is at room temperature. I do not recall any one in my family ever using it for a heat source, so I am not in a position to comment on the ability of that aspect in use. The only discrepancy I hold is that a single gel pack is available on here for the price of over six dollars, and that to me seems a little steep! I plan to keep the initial one I ordered until it wears out and see how long it lasts before I purchase another to see if it is worth the investment of multiple. However, if you are searching for a cold solution this is excellent for kids and sore adults alike and I do highly recommend it as a solution!

Very Good
I had one of these a long time ago and they were great for a headache so when I found them again I had to get one. They are so much better than the one's that have those blue beads. They hold cool and heat long enought to do some good...

These are the best ice/hot pads out there
These are the best ice/hot pads out there. I had ordered 2 others about 4 years ago for the birth of my fourth child, needless to say they worked like a charm! the best part is that these are totally flexible when cold. They can be put in the freezer and they will never become hard even though the temperature is really low. They sustain the heat and cold for a long time, mine do about 40 minutes depending on the wrapping I use to put it against body. I use simply towels no need to buy anything else. They are great for children too, they are big enough for a large male. My husband uses them for back pain. I love the fact that they come in a set of two. We usually keep one out for hot treatments and one in the freezer for cold.

Five Stars
Haven't tried hot but freezes quickly and stays soft and manageable. Fits Ice Raptor perfectly.Update 9/2016 Both of these have developed leaks while packed in suitcases (in baggies) and protected by lots of clothing, so I tossed them. Will hunt for something in a bit sturdier bag.

Best ice pack I’ve ever used
My favorite ice pack has always been the Acu therm by medline. I’ve had one for years and don’t even remember how I got it. Anyway, recent knee injury and having one perfect ice pack wasn’t enough so I looked on Amazon and was thrilled to find them. I ordered 3 . They have a new look but they work the same. Soft and flexible right out of the freezer. Stay cold for more than the 20 minutes I use them.Very highly recommend!
