For less than 20 bucks, why not? Even though some reviewers said that you could get by without it, I definitely suggest otherwise and recommend it. I used it for my two week road trip across the US and it kept my PackRight Car Top Carrier in place. It did not move at all and kept everything in place. Not only that, by the time I got to my final destination and unloaded, I could clearly see where the pad had stayed...it did not move not even an inch. (The layer of dirt that was visible once I removed the pad showed me that it was clearly a good investment.) It protected the paint on my 4Runner and did its job at preventing skids. I even saved it once I unloaded the carrier and packed it away with the car top carrier. There's no reason it can not be used again. I used it with the PackRight Sport 1 Car Top Carrier and its size worked perfectly for that specific carrier. I did not have to alter its size by any means. It went on top of my SUV right out of the package. I am pleased with the product and definitely recommend it for those purchasing any of the PackRight car top carriers. Kudos!

I used this pad with my Rightline Gear 100S50 Sport Jr. Car Top Carrier to carry lightweight items on my camping trip to the Grand Canyon last year. Planning and packing for a week stay at the North Rim was no easy task when you are traveling in a small car. I placed this on top of my 2008 Kia Spectra with the bag and it worked like a charm. I did purchase the Master Lock 3060DAT 12 foot straps for extra security - probably didn't need it but I was a little paranoid about the clips on the bag coming undone- and losing my bag somewhere between California and Nevada. This pad helped keep my bag in place and it didn't budge one bit. It definitely did it's job. My only complaint was having to cut it down to size. I was very paranoid about cutting too much or too little. I figured I should leave some wiggle room. It turned out this was a mistake because it immediately started flapping in the wind and made an awful noise on my roof the entire 8 hour drive. And yes I knew this was a problem for other people but I honestly thought I had cut it to a good size to where it would leave an extra couple of inches in case bag moved but not so much space that it would create a problem.. obviously I was wrong. I wish at the very least it would come with a diagram to show you where to cut depending on which bag you have- this way we don't have to stress about possibly cutting it too small and destroying the item or rendering it useless. All in all I am happy and I am glad all my items made it safely there and back.

Loved It. Used it with my Rightline Gear Sport 2 Car Top Carrier when moving my daughter to college and it was perfect for protecting the roof of my jeep. It has a sticky texture which goes down on the car side and then the carrier sits on top. No movement at all even when we hit heavy rains while driving. When we took the pad off there were no marks or scratches to the paint of the jeep. I was amazed and extremely happy. This Pad is a must for using under the carrier. It made my college road trip less stressful so I could enjoy my time with my kids while driving.

Bought this along with a car top carrier. It worked great and really kept the carrier from sliding around on the roof. It also protects the car from any scratches or rub marks caused from the car top carrier. Only advice is to tuck the corners under the carrier after you strap it down as loose corners would flap in the wind and cause an irritating noise. Great companion product to any soft car top carrier.

I saw no reviews of anyone mentioning this so I thought I would post in the off chance another delivery driver reads this. The car toppers my store uses has exposed bolts that are only about 1cm shorter than the magnet shoes and I was really worried about them scratching my roof, so I bought this to put under it. At first I was concerned that the thickness would cause the magnets to not get a good enough grip and going 55-65 would rip it off of my roof but after driving around all day in windy/snowy weather(9 hour shift) it didn't fall off nor did the pad slip around. So far I'm very happy with but Id like to drive around more when it's not so snowy/cold to make sure the grip was actually the pad or the fact that the accumulated ice had frozen it to my roof. Our toppers are 12x25 rectangles and I was able to cut 4 of them out of this mat and sell them to other drivers to make my money back.

Bought this to go under my Right Line soft sided car top carrier on my Honda Odyssey van. I did not want the van to get scratched if the carrier moved during our long road trip. This was easy to set up and use with the carrier. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. However, after 2 days and 1000 miles of driving, the pad was falling apart on the front corners as pictured. I believe this was caused by the items stored in the front of the carrier being rounded (sleeping bags, etc) and thus not filling out the whole carrier to weight down the pad. However the weak durability of this product earns it 3 stars from me.

I read several reviews that said this really wasn't necessary under a roof-top carrier and that the product was no thicker than shelf-liner you can buy at the story. I am happy to report they were wrong! This was extremely helpful in keeping the roof-top carrier in place on top of our Jeep and prevented it from getting scratched too. It's just thick enough to do the job without being too bulky when you fold it up & put it away for the next time. In addition, I bought this as a "used" product. I can't tell you what was used about it. It looked brand new and performed well. In a nutshell - I recommend this product.

おそらく油がなっています。触った後は手を洗いたくなります。 気温37℃で4時間使いましたが、熱で溶ける事はありませんでした。 ただ、車に跡が付きました。洗車機では落ちませんでしたが、2週間放置していたらいつの間にか消えました。 ルーフの汚れを気にする方は、そもそも直接バッグを置く事が間違いです。私は既に水垢がタップリ付いているので塗装が剥がなければ全く気にしません。

La usé para llevar una bolsa de 300 litros en el techo. Ayudó perfecto a que no resbalara. Limpien bien el techo antes de ponerla, para que se adhiera con fuerza.

I absolutely hate this thing. This piece of crap was flapping in the wind because what I put on top wasn't perfectly flat. Oh man the number of times I had to jump out and fix this thing was insane. However none of these things were the fault of the item. I used it improperly and when I did finally use it correctly (stuffing the bad on top to be completely full) it worked very well. It provides a good deal of protection and it really makes items not slip, you could dance like Teen Wolf on that car with one of those pads without the slightest thought of falling. Top notch product for people who aren't angry like me. Highly recommended for its intended use.

Used this with the Rightline Gear 100S50 Sport Jr. It seemed to do the job well, as the cargo bag didn't slip, and we had no scratches / marks left on the roof of our car. I'm not sure if the Sport Jr. cargo bag would have slipped around without this, but I will say that using this non-skid roof pad gave us peace of mind. This pad is more than large enough for the Sport Jr. The instructions say to cut excess pad to fit the pad to the cargo bag. We decided instead to just fold the pad to fit, and that seemed to work well.
