Whether waiting out Ol’ Tom at his morning strutting zone or chasing him down along his milk route, the TZ TR18 is in a class by itself when it comes to keeping calls, shells, decoys and other critical gear secure, quiet and accessible. Most importantly, perhaps, it allows its wearer to sit motionless and in total comfort once the big show begins. And best of all, at just 5.25 pounds, its Tenzing’s lightest turkey hunting pack/chair ever. Available in Realtree Edge or Mossy Oak Obsession, the TZ TR18 Turkey Recliner combines a structured internal aluminum frame with two silent, spring-loaded legs and a dual-layer foam seat to quickly and quietly convert into a self-supported hunting chair. Hunters can sit comfortably amongst the thick stuff without a tree or log to lean against, while gear remains at the ready in a multitude of specialized pockets, including dedicated compartments for box calls, diaphragm calls, pot calls, strikers and shells. Of course, there’s even a special compartment for a phone. For even more utility, the TZ TR18 Turkey Recliner’s quick-detachable front pocket sections can be laid across the hunters lap to minimize movement while accessing calls or other items. When it’s time to make a move, the Turkey Recliner’s legs and seat stow in a flash as pack, gear and hunter move efficiently to the next set-up.When the hunt is through, the TZ TR18 Turkey Recliner provides ample room to tote a tom inside its extra-large turkey compartment; its generous size and easy access opening accommodate even the heaviest of birds without causing damage to delicate feathers. A lightweight aluminum frame, channeled and air-cooled back pad and contoured fit dual waistband straps combine to make for a comfortable walk back to the truck.

It feels so much better to have back support!
I shopped around for a while to find a product the would provide exceptional back support while predator hunting out in open county where there are very few trees. After I purchased this, I discovered that there is one that’s specifically designed for predator hunters. However, I'm glad I got this model because it holds my FOXPRO Shockwave Electronic Predator Caller with a BARSKA Digital Tripod attached. The large pouch holds my equipment well and it is easy to access the caller. The attached seat is reasonably comfortable. I'd like a bit more firm padding support for hard ground. I removed the two additional side pouches that I did not need. Adjusting the legs took a bit to get used to but they do make it simple to adapt to the various terrain. I especially like how light it is. Fully loaded with all my gear, the vest weighs only 11 pounds.Tenzing TZ TR18 Turkey Recliner Pack, One SizeFOXPRO Shockwave American Made Electronic Predator CallBARSKA Digital Tripod, Black

ho hum, try another one
I had to return this because the vest came broken, but I likely would have returned it anyway. For starters, while it seems well made, it doesn't seem very rugged-- I did not have a lot of faith in the longevity of aluminum legs specifically. The pack has a ton of straps and buckles which make it kind of clumsy and difficult to adjust. The pocket layout is ok, typical turkey vest fare. The legs, were what sold me on this, then what made me dislike it. The spring loaded rapid deploy is neat, but since they protrude from the pack around your shoulder blades, wrestling the legs backs while wearing the vest is for contortionists only. The pack came broken, as I mentioned; upon arrival the tab which locks down the legs was snapped off the frame. This piece is only plastic, and IMO a stress point and a significant vulnerability to the whole system. Full disclosure, I do believe the piece was broken during rough handling in shipping, but I still see this is exposing a weak link. Running around the woods with the legs extended looks like a royal pain and i don't want to experience the same failure in the woods, and after the return period.

Works well for me...
Despite some bad reviews, I bought this vest after trying a buddy's during a recent turkey hunt. Am getting older and anything that can help me sit comfortable for longer periods is a huge help. Also nice to avoid having tree limbs and knots poking me in the pack during longer sits when birds are working slow. Being able to set up in front of dense shrubs instead of trees is also a plus...still lets me break up my silhouette and gives me something to lean against. Does kinda angle back a little bit, but is still better than trying to sit upright with the gun on the knee with no back support. As with other Tenzing items I've owned, vest is well made and should take some abuse. Pockets are sufficient and hold enough gear. One huge plus, and one of the biggest selling points for me, is the ability to remove the vest portion when it's hot and just use the beck rest like a backpack. I added a small case to the chest strap which holds my diaphragms, slate calls, and strikers.

Best turkey hunting vest to date.
I have been turkey hunting for over 30 years and this is the best vest I have worn. Great detail was taken in the design of the vest, even down to the fasteners / buckles, which are upgraded from standard. The reclining feature is really nice when you do not have a tree to lean against. Even when you do have a tree behind you, the vest back makes the transition more comfortable. I have an Alps reclining vest also, and this one is considerably lighter. Finally, the shoulder straps are designed to really distribute the weight of the vest and contents making those long walks much more comfortable. I am really impressed with this vest.

Needs improvement
I have lost a couple strikers so far in 2 weeks of use. Striker holder does not secure them at all even if you push them as far in as possible. Legs are difficult to get into position. Vest slides up torso and with no belly strap it is very difficult to keep vest from sliding up. Would not recommend

Light weight and comfortable!
I have always carried a small chair so I could set up any where. Not any more! This vest allows me to set up any where I want! I have even used it as a gun rest. My only issue is the striker sleeves. They need some sort of closure to keep them from falling out.
