A good post workout supplement. Contains the nutrients you need, as well as tasting great.
This review is for the double chocolate flavour. This is a protein powder that I use post workout. Two scoops (it says heaped on the packet, but that is unnecessary. A level scoop is 35g, so 2 level scoops are 70g, no need to heap them.) gives you 40g's of protein, approx 22g's of carbohydrates, as well as 5g of creatine, with the remainder being made up from other nutrients. It's hard to say if its had an advantage over ordinary protein powders. As I take a mixture of the two, singling one out as 'better' is difficult, however I shall persevere and report back. The double chocolate flavour is nice. Very chocolatey. Do not be put off with the smell from the open bag. It does smell rather unpleasant, but tastes great. No idea why that is.It does mix very well. In a metal ball shaker cup, I find it mixes much smoother and quicker than my complete protein blend. This is one of bulk powders 'Informed sports' supplements, that means it is certified free from any banned substances. Not something that would ever affect me, but it could be relevant to you, if you're competing at a high level.I purchased in July 2020. The best before date is June 2023.Overall, I'm pleased with this post workout supplementPrice wise, it's very close to a normal protein powder. It tastes good, mixes well and is easily digested.I can't honestly say it has improved my gains compared with a standard powder, but it's still early days yet.I hope you found this review helpful.

Amazing product!
I have been using bulk powders for over a year and these products are amazing! they mix incredibly well with water or milk and the flavours are always easy to drink.

Brilliant
This is the best all in one I've tried using the best ingredients. The vanilla tastes better than the double chocolate in my opinion. Have had good results using this with increases in strength and the ability to go that bit longer in the gym noticeable over the time I have used this. I would make one suggestion to bulk powders is the seal is to fiddly to seal up one of those plastic sliding clips would be far better to get the bag open and closed other than that great stuff at a good price currently.

Good for the convenience of having a bunch of things in one, and as a jumping off point for your own experimentation
There are essentially two kinds of protein powder supplements. The single ingredient protein (e.g. whey) and the 'all your supplements in one' kind. Bulk Powders Aftermath fits in the latter category despite not being as 'complete' as some other brands in terms of what is included. What you get in the bag (and yes, it is always a bag with Bulk Powders) for Aftermath is a mixture of protein powders, some carbohydrate powder, glutamine powder, creatine powder, and HMB powder. And to round it all off you get whatever flavour you chose and some sucralose to sweeten it all.The directions for mixing are to use two scoops which should yield 40 grams of protein, and 5 grams of creatine (on average) when mixed with water. So the first thing to pay attention to is the creatine. You don't need more than 5 grams a day, so you definitely won't want to be drinking more than one of these shakes per day. And if you are not used to taking creatine you should be careful with it. Some people can get digestive problems from jumping straight to 5 grams per day, so if you are in any way concerned you might want to take a single scoop to yield 2.5 grams (average) of creatine for the first few days to ease your way in.I went for the double chocolate flavour. And it really is double chocolate. A bit like drinking a chocolate cake, but one made with sucralose instead of sugar. I find the taste to be almost overpowering but I can get through it. If I buy another bag when I finish this one I won't pick double chocolate again. The powder mixes okay, but not perfectly. There is always something left in the water than does not dissolve. That may be specific to the double chocolate flavour since it includes cocoa powder as part of the flavouring. I could try mixing some with hot milk to see how well it dissolves as a cocoa drink but I am not that dedicated to experimenting for my Amazon reviews! Regardless of the small amount that does not dissolve it is still perfectly fine overall in terms of the texture in the mouth, and thus goes down perfectly well.It is quite hard to determine how effective any particular brand of 'all in one' type powder is in terms of contributing to strength or muscle gains. Not least because any gains may essentially boil down to the increase in calories from adding the shake to your diet. You also have to weight up the pros and cons of taking everything together vs taking individualised amounts of the various ingredients on your own schedule. I find these 'all in one' type powders are best used as a jumping off point for your own personal experimentation. Some will be happy to take everything included in one go for convenience, whereas others may prefer to split say their glutamine intake from their creatine and so on. The good news is that if or when you want to go down that more specific personalised route you will be able to get all the ingredients in Aftermath as individual bags from Bulk Powders if you so choose. The bad news is that it will cost more to buy it all that way.

Excellent flavour, excellent all in one supplement
Really like this all in one supplement, packed full of exactly what you want in a an all in one supplement, and in the right ratios to provide what your body needs! No bloating too, like with other supplements 👍

Contains creatine
Used to buy a protein powder and separate creatine powder to use after my workout until I found this Aftermath which contains creatine and therefore saves money. I also add a scoop of Bulk Fine Milled Oats to give me some slow release carbohydrate to help the muscles recover. Highly recommended on Subscribe & Save which makes it cheaper than buying direct from the manufacturer.

My body seems to reject this product
I've tried this product twice and I thought it was just some getting used to at first, but after months of trying this protein powder, I've thrown it all in the bin, somehow this has been by far the worst protein powder for me. I've tried it with milk, with water (was even worse), with ice, mixing it with other flavours... nothing worked for me.It's a shame I had to buy a 2.1KG package, if they provided paid tasting packages I would have known from the start, wouldn't waste my money neither their product. This has made me think twice about buying another protein powder for the last 8 months, I was too scared I would be wasting money on yet another thing I did not enjoy. I recently found something else that works for me.
