Attractive to Hummingbirds
I love the color and design of glass although it is painted glass so do not use brushes on outside of glass because paint will come off after multiple washes. The inside is not painted.

Good buy!
Have ordered several different feeders in the past. These are definitely the nicest for the price point!

careful
The glass is nice. The capacity is fine. The cup I am not to sure about, it is like the Glad food storage containers you buy at the grocery store, we'll see how long it holds up.The perch part seems sturdy enough, but be careful! The flowers are solid enough, but watch out! They have some SHARP edges and will cut you! Two minutes after taking it out of the box I was headed to the medicine cabinet for a bandage.

Base Failed
Very nice hummer feeders but the glass faded after a few months and the threads for the base failed as well.Nice feeder but poor engineering.

Love the size but...
The size is great. In the southeast USA (Zone 8) this is the time of year when both the adolescent hummers and mature adults are preparing for the long trip to South America in a couple months. In late July through all of August, they can drain my 8 and 12 ounce feeders practically in a day...especially their favorite feeders. So the advantage is the size and the hummers love it. The cons are:1. The base is made out of that hard cheap plastic - not the flexible kind - it is the kind that splinters and gets hairline stress fractures before it finally falls apart. If I had known that, I never would have purchased it. It won't make it to next season.. It might not finish out this season. The summer heat is causing that plastic to shrink and expand and it's too low quality to handle it.. It's eventually going to leak and I have no other base that will fit this jar. In the 2 or 3 weeks I've had it, it no longer screws on properly. You have to turn it just barely or it will pop off..2. I thought the chain it hangs from looked cute in the Amazon picture but it doesn't hang right. When I put it on my Shepherds hook, it's resting on a link and will eventually find its comfortable place between two links which causes the bottle to tilt left ot right. Whichever side the wind pushes it to is where it will eventually rest. I've thought of threading some wire through a link or two so I can fashion a hook and make it hang straight. An ant moat hook will not work as the links are two small. I don't want to have to doctor on a brand new feeder and I don't want leaking encouraging fire ants, bees, and wasps. All in all, it is not the worst feeder I've had....but it'snot great.. Ive had cheap Dollar Tree feeders hold up better. I expect the more expensive glass bottle feeders to last at least as long as a one dollar feeder. The hummers love it right now and that'sthe one thing in its favor. I just wish it was better made. If it was, I would repurchase.
