Great Value
First time trying to do my own diy eva foam decking job. This stuff is thick enough to route. Doesn’t feel as firm/dense as SeaDek but that was almost twice as thick as this stuff. I don’t have a cnc (as you can tell from the pics) so templates it with chipboard, cut with razor knife and I free hand routed the inset logo and fish. The edges I used a Dremel barrel sanding tip on a stylus attachment going with the rotation to feather a beveled edge(4hrs!). Not precision by any means, but compared to the cost of precut kits…it works fine for me. I cleaned with acetone prior to install on this brand new kayak. Had a couple of spot I had to use some extra adhesive(Marine Goop) to get it to stay down…3 small areas on this whole job. The adhesive does get wrinkled after laying flat from being rolled up….but doesn’t seem to affect the adhesion. Only been out twice and hosed it down afterwards. Been exposed to the Texas heat/sun about 12hrs and 100°+ garage for about 1 month. Looks like it will last.

this stuff is amazing
pretty good stuff, the secret is prepping the surface before sticking it down.. lightly sand with 220, then clean greatly with alcohol and allow to dry surface.. then stick down.. DO NOT TOUTCH the sticky pad. any kind of oils will cause it to have a bad stick. i stuck this stuff down on my jetski, and its been a good week in the sun and water, and NO issues at all.. easy to stencil and cut, and you can clean up edges with a Dremel and sanding wheel. or you can use regular sand paper. easy to work with, and layers do not come apart.. fantastic stuff..

Pretty easy install. Looks great!!
I love the way it looks in my deck boat. Took me a bit to figure out the best way to cut the shapes I needed. I Purchased a wide roll of craft paper and used the side of a large crayon to get the pattern of the non skid surface of the boat. I then taped it to the back of the foam and cut around it. Made it quite easy. I then prepared the surface with denatured alcohol. Used loc-tite marine adhesive on the back and spread with putty knife. So far looks good. I hope this will last a good while. Make sure you take it out of the box and let it straighten for about a day as is recommended.

Worked out Great!
This was an install on a remodel of 1974 aluminum boat. We followed recommendations to clean the surface and wipe down with denatured alcohol first. Then, to insure a good and permanent seal of the adhesive backing to the boat, we applied marine adhesive, 3M 5200 and used a putty knife to spread it uniformly. We had made patterns of the boat floor out of heavy plastic, and cut the product to the exact dimensions, so all that was necessary after spreading the adhesive in an area was to remove the backing from 1/2 of the precut piece, begin placing from that edge slowly, and removing the other 1/2’s adhesive cover after the pervious was in place. It definitely worked well as a 2 person job. We still have a few smaller surfaces on gunnel and lid to cooler box, but it’s been a few months, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our results.

Adhesive failed after a week
UPDATE: the adhesive on this failed after a week and is now peeling up.This foam looks and feels nice - it is very water resistant and soft. I used it on my boat swim platform replacing an older peeling up mat.Unfortunately it came with a lighter color line all the way across it. I ended up keeping it - as i expect it will fade some and become less noticeable - but still a pain. It cut relatively easily with a sharp long straight edge razor - and the lines were clean and you could bevel easily with the thickness. That said - the adhesive doesn't feel terribly strong - and I'm afraid it wont last a full season. I'll update -as its only been a few days.

only good for one season
after one year the adhesive is peeling off the foam (it is still stuck well to the deck) and the foam is breaking down. it leaves grey dust on your feet when you walk on it.most of the time I had a cover on the boat so the actual days this product was in the weather was very small.however, when I contact the seller, they were very responsive and made it right for me.

I redid the entire floor in the cabin of my 33ft sailboat with this. Looks great, strong adhesive & feels great to bare feet.
