Very good
I assume everyone ordering this is already familiar with the legendary Cortot annotations and exercises for students. This is, what I would call a "budget" edition, in that the printing is not very crisp. But it's not illegible, by any means, and it's a remarkable price for both the Op. 28 and the waltzes in one volume. It may seem cruel to deduct one star for the substandard engraving/reproduction, but that's the way it is.The pages are sewn in signatures, and I have every bit of faith the volume will hold up to many, many times of being laid flat on a desk or a music stand.Just a glance, the English translation of Cortot's text seems adequate as well, although I haven't compared.Yeah, it's kind of a cheap binding and printing, equivalent to maybe a Dover reprint, but like the latter volumes, this will likely take much abuse and not fall apart.Good value, and, like I said, if you're buying this, you probably already know about the Cortot commentaries and supplements for students.

Cortot is the best !
Been wanting a copy of this for a while. Cortot is the go to guy for not only good editions of Chopin's pieces but for invaluable suggestions as to how to practice, interpret and perform them. I have various other Cortot editions of Chopin and have worked on pieces in many of them. I recommend Cortot to all my piano students a well.

Printing quality of the score is very bad while useful commentary
The commentary is fine but the printing quality is poor. Some times it’s very blurred and hard to see. In comparison to any other scores I use and I use many as Piano is my profession the printing quality is very poor. To be honest I was very disappointed I ll use the commentary just for interest but not the score

Very useful commentary for students of Chopin
Very useful for pianists studying this music, saves hours of experimental playing though some of the exercises are not for normal humans.
