Perfectly acceptable budget fountain pen although requires a bit too much pressure to get reliable flow
For the price, it's actually fantastic. Personally I was not impressed with the flow (on several different types of common paper) and found I needed to press almost as hard as with a ballpoint pen, which is a negative for me as I use fountain pens primarily because I don't like having to press to get an ink flow. HOWEVER, it writes just fine if you treat it as a standard Bic as far as pressure goes and for that reason I'd recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to get into fountain pens but WOULD like to save money and writes a lot. I used to go through at least one Bic a day and when I added that up over the course of a year, the price alone made switching to a nice fountain pen worth it (a $20 pot of ink will last a year, easily). No issues with leaking, I kind of like the fact it's a screw-off top, and the filling mechanism works perfectly. I rate it 3 stars because it's definitely not something a fountain pen enthusiast would love, but if you're looking for a daily driver and you're used to having to press a bit to get a flow of ink, then this is the perfect replacement for your disposable pens.

Good for the price
FYI This is a Jinhao brand pen!!I was a little hesitant because of the price but honestly, this pen writes beautifully! Really loved the look and feel. It lasted about 6 months which for a <$2 pen is totally reasonable!

but this one immediately became my favorite. Writes beautifully
I'm fairly new to fountain pens, but this one immediately became my favorite. Writes beautifully, tip doesn't scratch or drag, and it's a good size and weight. It's a little shorter than other pens when closed, but posting the cap takes care of that and adds balance. Noodler's Black Swan in Australian Roses looks awesome in the clear barrel and flows out smoothly when writing. I can't believe the quality of this fountain pen compared to its price. I've ordered two more already.

Jinhao 992 pen is what you get and it dont be too butt hurt if yours doesnt work perfectly they are only $2
First of all this is a Jinhao 992 Transucent pen, it says Jinhao on the cap and uses the Jinhao converter. That being said, you can have hit and miss quality with Jinhao pens. I have had a couple of the plastic pens break at the threads from just normal wear after like a month or 2 which is not normal but then again you are paying $2 for a fountain pen so expect hit and miss quality. This one is working just great, the nib is supposed to be a Fine but it still has a slightly heavier line than I expected, but again its hard to complain when it is so cheap. I would recommend this pen for anyone that wants a nice inexpensive demonstrator pen that could easily be made into an eyedropper.

Very nice
I love this pen. It has a great weight to it and the cartridge converter it came with isn't bad. The cap doesn't screw on but it has a good seal. I've had no leaks or dried up ink to date. It's easy to take apart and maintain. For the price this is amazing. I don't think it's a life long pen but it seems like it will last a year or two at least. It can post if you want it too but it's not the best hold. If it was a screw cap and a finer nib I would give 5 stars. I still love this pen though. I got the model K - the cap says Jinhoa x750.

My second pen from here.
I liked the first one so much, about 5 months later I have purchased another. This cheap little pen write so much smoother than a $20 metropolotin from Pilot. The ink flows and the nib glides across the paper. Its great for the price, and it looks really cool being a "demo" pen. Great seller too, ignore the shipping date because both times the pen came weeks before it said it would !

Writes well, and cost under $2. Can't beat that.
I recently got interested in the fountain pen hobby. Here at Amazon, I found a particularly nice pen in the Jihao X750, in a dark red. It cost all of $6 and is silky smooth. When I saw this pen, I decided to take a chance and buy it. After all, it cost less than two bucks. Hard to go wrong at that price. I ordered the pen in October and got it an hour ago (November 16th). Cheap yes, but not very fast service.I found the pen to be compact at about 135 mm or 5 1/4 inches. I loaded it with Parker Quink blue ink and gave it a try. It worked immediately and without any coaxing. It's supposed to be a fine nib but I would put it midway between fine and medium. It writes quite smoothly.I found two issues, however. First, the pen's metal ferule (is that the word?), is threaded on both sides. One to hold the barrel and the other to hold the cap. I managed to unscrew both at the same time, so don't try "pulling" the pen open, it unscrews. Second, the pen had a plastic bar-code label on the barrel which is a nuisance to remove. I scraped with an X-acto knife, being careful not to scratch the barrel but in the end I found that just rubbing with dish washing soap, did the trick. All in all, a nice little addition to my modest pen collection.

The pen is a great daily use tool.
I was skeptical as all get out, how is a pen for under two dollars supposed to write. Well... Wonderfully, I went and purchased a bunch more for my teenage daughter and her friends. The pen writes smoothly and the adapter is perfect. I am thrilled.
