Removing and replacing the chip is a bit delicate but easily done. Just follow the instructions. Have about 500 copies on one of the cartridges and all is well. You may get a warning that toner is low. Just ignore. For the price these cartridges are outstanding.

They. Just. Work. Great print quality at a fraction of the OEM cost. These cartridges yield a printed result indistinguishable from the original HP cartridges that shipped with the printer, and will be my go-to until (and perhaps AFTER) third-party manufacturers can include the proprietary chip in their versions. I've ordered third-party versions of the 58A cartridge from several manufacturers, and these are, by far, the best. Packaging is stellar, we haven't had any problems with technical quality or leaks (which HAVE been an issue with other third-party carts), and customer service department is responsive and friendly when a non-tech user called to ask about the chip transfer.

The chip is not easy to install. The first cartridge was fine, however the 2nd one even with the chip will not work.

These toner cartridges are a great value. They install easily, just like the OEM ones, and print quality is the same to my eyes.These saved me a ton over the Canon cartridges and will be purchasing them again in the future.

I failed at moving the chip well. That chip is on there WELL. There was not really a way to move the chip without breaking the chip. I do NOT recommend.

While it was not easy to install, the chip has to come out of the old cartridge, and then go into the new cartridge, the problem was the second cartridge in this pack, just didn't want to work. I had to take it out, shake it, EVERY 4 PAGES when it was BRAND NEW! STAY AWAY.
