Hi, you can Bluetooth to your tablet/phone etc. but only with the Bluetooth adapter which, you need to purchase separately. Hope this Helps.

Q: Is there a backlight on this? If so how is it activated?

I don't remember if there's a backlight but the information on the computer has always been visible and clear to see in some of the worst visibility conditions. I've rarely needed to touch the computer once underwater.
