Crochet Made Easy CD-Rom

Nothing fancy just the stitches, but then again this is an old version, but crocheting is crocheting and the basics don't change, but it was just soooo boring!!!

I order the wrong video I thought it was Video CD and it said it was for computer CD so I couldn't use it

This DVD never worked. I am very disapointed. I have tried many times to play this, in two different computers and my tv...still nothing...

For the past couple of months I have been teaching myself to crochet using various resources, and while all the resources I have used have taught me something this one has been one of the most helpful to me as a beginner. I am a visual learner and being able to see someone else perform the various crochet stiches is very helpful (even more helpful than the illustrated pictures used in most beginner crochet books) and I have been able to learn the various stiches, even some of the more complex ones like triple crochet, with ease. I even made my first granny square using the instructions on this cd.This interactive cd-rom is split up into lessons that go from the basics (like how to hold a hook) to the more complicated parts like how to read patterns and measure your gauge. You can also go at your own pace and pause anytime, and the cd-rom even includes some basic patterns and information on materials, which I found useful. I found this cd at my local craft store Hobby Lobby, you can also find it at Walmart or Michaels and it is very inexpensive, I got mine for seven dollars. I really recommend this for beginners, if you have been frustrated at trying to learn crochet from books give this cd a try and I guarantee you will be surprised at your progress and will be motivated to try complex patterns and designs.
