Grew back my mom's hair beautifully.
My mom has type 4b or c or z hair, whatever you want to call it. If you know the Andre Walker system, you know what I mean. It is a beautiful hair type but very fragile. She is 82 years years and last summer, had hardly any hair left in the front--not just the roots but the whole front of her head up to her ears had maybe 1/2 inch or less of hair remaining. In the back, she had some hair, but it was ragged and all different lengths and felt rough. She thought she was going to have to wear a TWA forever, like many of her friends her age who have basically jsut given up on ever having hair and shaved it off. But she did not want to do this. Though she is an older lady, she is very feminine and does not like her looks with this 'boy' type hairstyle.Anyway, to make a long story short, I sent her a bottle of this Jamaican black castor oil and she started massaging her hair and scalp with it. I also made sure that she started sleeping on a satin pillowcase and wearing a satin cap, washing with her remaining hair in braids and using Shea moisture shampoo only on her scalp. I told her to be very low manipulation and she wore a wig to cover up her damaged hair and give it a rest. I taught her to finger comb only and also to use a little protein on her ends about once a month, after she washed. (Joico K-pak). Lo and behold! She lives in Florida and when I returned to visit her, barely 7 months later, her hair had grown so much! the very short patches had grown a lot, the bald patches had filled in and the back had grown BELOW HER SHOULDERS. My mother has never had hair below her shoulders in her life (this is difficult for many type 4b people as this hair type cannot take any abuse at all. It was an unbelievable change. My mother is so happy. She continues to use this product as her scalp massage and moisturizer and her hair is not only growing like a weed but feels very fluffly, soft and not greasy at all. Her goal is to grow her hair enough so that she can wear her natural hair in a bun and not have to wear a wig anymore and it looks like she will make this goal very soon. We are both very happy.P.S I have type 3c hair which is a lot stronger than my mom's (my dad was mixed-race and I got his hair type). I have never had balding or breakage problems the way she does, but I find that this product works well for me, too. I massage a little on my scalp mixed with some peppermint essential oil (few drops) and burdock root oil (which I also bought on Amazon.com) every night and I don't have the itching problems I used to have sometimes before. I think it makes my hair feel a bit softer (I have low porosity hair that tend to be dry) and I like it for me, too.

I use this religiously for almost everything!
I got this out of desperation (heard good things about healing scars and overplucked eyebrows). I had maybe 10% faith, but because at that moment I couldn't afford the more expensive chemical concoctions, I chose this. After few months I swear by this and other natural oils, and I'm the type of person who normally scoffs at natural remedies. It smells like sesame oil, and is really hard to spread. Put too much on and you'll break out from the greasiness clogging your pores. But use tiny drops and this is amazing. I put mine on those cotton pads and gently dab all over face, then rub over eyebrows and lips. Let me tell you what it does for my sensitive skin:Mosquitoes love me. I always get huge bumps that inflame and itch pretty bad, lasting for days. I rub the oil on and they go down within 20 minutes, no itching, no redness.I bit my lip, hard. Rubbed a bit of oil and the thing never swelled like it usually does. Can be used instead of chapstick. A lot healthier and less addictive.Dry nostrils or dust/pollen allergies? Forget the addictive nose-spray. I just dip a q-tip in the oil and swab my nose. Instant moisturizing relief that lasts for days and I like to thing it purifies the boogers.Over-plucked eyebrows and/or thin eyelashes? I put this on once a day for a few months, and my brows grew back and got thicker (yay) and my lashes got longer. If you stop applying it on the lashes, they'll go back to being thin. Depends on you.Got red/itchy eyes and no visine or lanoline on hand? I put a wee bit in my eye. It's better if you do this before bed, otherwise your vision will suck and your eye area will be greasy and gross. The redness doesn't fade right away, but it helps with the pain and infection.Sunburned and no aloe vera? Rubbed this on my burnt shoulders and neck, the next morning the redness and pain was completely gone. My fiancée couldn't believe my sunburn was gone that fast. It also smoothes out the wrinkles I have on my shoulders from too many sunburns, so I imagine it will work well for the older folks. Also great for those dry, rough and itchy spots on your knees and elbows!Overdried hands and brittle nails from too much dishwashing? Dry, achy, swollen feet from running around all day? Soak them in a warm bath, and massage a generous portion of heated (warm the bottle in hot water) castor oil into them for a few minutes, and then put on cotton gloves and socks. Go to bed wearing those. Wake with sweet baby hands and feet, and reinforced nail cuticles. Thank me later. You can also mix this with other oils to create a super cream. I have yet to combine it with coconut/avocado/grapeseed/almond oil, whatever else I stocked up on. They're all good on their own though. Also, if the smell bothers you, put in few drops of your favorite essential oil.I heard the best use of this is for hair, but my scalp is pretty good anyway and I find it hard to apply and even harder to wash out, and it limps on me (medium length wavy fine hair) so maybe this is better for you ladies (and guys) with long, thick, dry, wild hair. I heard it works for some balding guys, too, but I can't vouch for the hair properties at all (excluding eyebrows and eyelashes!)The big bottle is a good deal too. Had it for few months and not even 1/4 way down yet.Oh, and please don't ingest this, unless you want to pay homage to the porcelain god. Also be careful to not get it on clothes, it's pretty hard to get the stain out.
