These are much more heavy duty than the last few sets of cutting mats we've used, which always tend to warp over time. And the non-slip bottom feels rubbery, unlike cheaper mats which just stamp the same pattern into the hard plastic making them slide around even more than a flat surface would. If using on a wood cutting board to make cleaning easier or for swapping out rather than cleaning the entire board between food types, these should stay put perfectly, as they have pretty good traction even on our slick Corian countertops.Another perk is that these don't come with a giant hole in the corner for hanging. That's so frustrating trying to find a set of mats where food won't be falling through the mat. If we wanted to hang these for storage, I'd much rather drill a small hole in the center of one end or the other, just large enough for the size hook I'm using, to maximize the mats usable surface.I was concerned about the texturing, as some reviewers have indicated concern for it trapping bacteria and making the mats harder to clean. I don't know how they're doing their cleaning, but just wiping them down with a soapy rag, they seem as easy to clean as a smooth mat. The texturing isn't that deep at all. And while it does reduce the visibility of cuts in the mat, it would be unreasonable to expect not to see cuts at all. Even much more expensive self-healing mats can't do that.The only thing we're not crazy about are the colors. They're typical colors for cutting mats. But we'd like to see someone produce entire sets in single or dual color options, where one option or another is more likely to match your room decor. Even black, gray, or white would be preferable to assorted colors, subjectively.

These are fairly stiff boards, which is a good thing. It makes it easy to chop veggies and then pick up the board to slide the veggies into the pot/pan. They don't slide around the counter when you're cutting, but they are easily turned by hand if you need to do that. I suspect that's due to the texture on the bottom side.They are easily washed, but with the texture on the top side, we sometimes need to use a brush just to make sure it's cleaned (if we're washing by hand.) They do go into the dishwasher as well, so if you're about to run a load after dinner, just chuck them in with the rest of the dishes.A few folks have made comments that say "knives don't leave marks"; I'm here to say they do, but because these are thick and seem to be of harder plastic than cheap cutting boards, the marks are minor and don't seem to cut the plastic, but rather just leave visual marks. All this is not a negative, but just wanted to comment on it.Overall, a nice set of boards that does what you want a cutting board to do.

I don't usually give 5 star reviews, but I'm very happy with these. There are four small ones and four large ones, the price was right. Like all plastic mats they will get beat up after time but so far they're working out really well, they can be put in the dishwasher and you can actually cut on either side. I would definitely purchase them again. There's not much to say about them they are cutting mats I don't find they slide on the counter as others have said.

I really like the two different sizes; no need to get a big mat dirty with a little job. They clean up well and have held up in the lower rack of the dishwasher just fine.My only real complaint is that they are not good for cutting hot items. The mat will expand in the area where you put the hot item causing it to bend (pucker/distort) and makes it difficult to use. I like to grill up the whole piece of chicken then shred/cut to size afterwards but it is difficult on these mats.

I expected cheap, thin, slick plastic sliding around cutting mats I would regret purchasing.I received thin bendable yet substantial, non slick, knife durable polymer cutting mats that has surprised the heck out of me. There are two surfaces designed into theses mats. The cutting surface is lightly textured and the veggies and meat I cut was done with ease. The bottom of the board is designed differently having a surface of small squares. That bottom surface works well preventing sliding on my countertop. Popped them into the dishwasher and they came out just fine. Yay!I’m going to buy another set after I post this. You snooze you lose.Additional feed back: I still really like these cutting boards. Today I cut up a good sized watermelon with no problem. The watermelon didn’t slide around and juice (a sizable amount) ran onto the mat and stopped there. It is a relief that fruit juice and meat juices don’t run right off. I see that some get uptight that the mats need a quick wipe from the dishwasher. I have never had a dishwasher safe cutting board that didn’t need a wipe straight from the dishwasher. To each their own.

I bought these for the kitchen as I cook a lot & it seems I am forever prepping, chopping, & rolling out various ingredients.It's very helpful to have these light yet sturdy cutting mats in addition to my wooden cutting boards.I am especially loving the small ones, since I often cook for one - ( my 91 yr old Mother ) and these are so perfect for small batches / portions.These are sturdy yet just flexible enough to easily slide food off & into a pot or skillet, or even function as a tray. I love how easily they clean up at the sink!I won't put these in the dishwasher even though the manufacturer indicates they're dishwasher safe.My experience with all plastic or vinyl products is that they can tend to warp. These are so easy to clean then disinfect with a swipe of vinegar or bleach that I won't risk warping them.I would not hesitate to buy these again or give as a gift.

They work well and I like that they can go in the dishwasher.
