Excellent
My husband was filling and repairing our pool deck and could not find a DIY that would do the job. This is it. We started out with one 10 lb container to just do a couple of spots then once he saw how easy and nice it worked he decided to order two more and do the entire deck. Great product!!

Strong cement
Excellent product to patch over concrete pool deck. Watched the old video for application tips, however applied with a regular spatula and used two steps, first patching and then finishing with a paint brush using the spraying method. Key is using the sponge constantly to wipe the trowel or spatula and to wipe the areas around the patches and smoothing them paper thin to merge with the surrounding area. Also preparing small batches, we mixed a quarter of each component every time. One person could do the patching and sponging work, however two are recommended for the finish as sponging is needed to clean unintended areas, as the cement dries within minutes. I give it 4 stars due to the high cost of the product given its low coverage. We selected less visible areas to patch with Portland cement and finish with EZ patch to reduce cost, however could appreciate how much harder the EZ patch cement is. Very good also for small cracks using a light mixture with a paint brush. Overall the product is great except for the price.

Cleanup can be difficult
After the patch sticks to the deck, it can be very difficult to clean off as it sticks extremely well. I used a sponge that I had used for grout cleaning inside that had worked well. This did NOT do a good job on the E-Z patch and resulted in a difficult cleaning after it stuck to the original deck covering.

Can't really evaluate the product. It was used to patch an area of the cool deck and then the whole pool deck was coated with a cool deck paint. It was just done so evaluation of how it really holds up can't be done for at least several months. The product was easy to work with but our technique to simulate a cool deck texture needs some work. Final judgement yet to come.
