Making YouTube Videos: Star in Your Own Video! (Dummies Junior) Paperback – Illustrated, October 1, 2019

I bought this book for my daughter, who is ALWAYS posting random content. Her videos were all over the place and with no real content. After reading this book she better understands the process and work it takes to make video that are worth watching. Very informational and good tool to refer back to when in need.

We made our daughter read this book before she could start her own youtube channel. She learned some things that will be helpful moving forward.

This is a good book. My nine year old can follow it. Its good for kids because it teachers them a lot about what they need to plan that kids don't think about. Having a plot / script, what order will you need to film scenes, proper lighting, microphones, video editing software, etc.The only dissapointed thing I see is that it figures a lot on movie making / interviewing and my son wants to record gaming and himself gaming and show both at once. Although I've figured out how to do this, it doesn't explain to a kid how to use a video editing program to show two videos at once.

Age level should be more evident in description . Book is somewhat hard to follow . Also , it would have been nice if cell phone YouTube setup and recording would have been described.

My son loves this book. He dreams of being Dan TDM and while he might never reach those heights, who knows? This book is filled with projects that help children (and parents) record and upload their videos to YouTube. My son is 10 and he was impressed that the book didn't talk down to him and was very supportive of kids wanting to start on YouTube. Recommended.

I am middle-aged and new to YouTube. I am not the greatest photographer, videographer, or poster. I am college educated and this book did not “talk down” to the audience. The explanations, pictures, and glossary were exactly what I needed to start creating tutorial videos for YouTube. I especially appreciated the project on lighting and setting up a shot. Now I will shoot video without cutting off people’s heads or leaving them in the dark!

Loved this book. I have a grandson who is interested in having a YouTube presence. I previewed this book and it had lots of pictures, suggestions and guidance. He said he's always looking for new ideas.
