The unit works great. Yes, the stock fan is loud. I replaced the stock fan with a quiet 40mm Noctua fan. Took about 5 mins to swap them out. Anyone can do it.

I bought this 500W inverter for my sailboat so I could charge my laptop or eventually run a tv. ITs easily mounted to wall and convenient to plug into 12V outlet. However, So far I am disappointed because it overloads and shuts off when charging a laptop. Not very useful for my needs.

Quiet unit. I used it for a DIY solar generator box. Works great

We used this to run the tv and stereo off the battery in our camping trailer. It is so loud that it was hard for me to hear the tv, and impossible for my husband.
