Former Hollywood star Reagan Pearce (Ryan Phillippe) is kidnapped by two men connected to his past while on location in Louisiana. When he wakes up bound and chained in a rundown shack, he soon discovers the real motives of his captors and finds himself in the middle of a twisted scheme with little chance to survive. With no rescue in sight, Reagan must use every ounce of strength he has left to break free and get his revenge.

The best "held captive" movie in all the land
OK I'm not gonna lie. I was ready to roll my eyes at this movie when I saw that the location was in Shreveport because of all the gator and hillbilly stereotypes that come with shooting a film in Louisiana. That being said, the more I watched this film, the more I realized how INSANELY WEIRDLY AMAZINGLY AWESOME it is. Like I have watched a lot of films where people have been held captive but none like this. While some parts of the storyline are predictable, a great deal of them you will not see coming. Also the dialogue between the actors was improvised and written so well that I just have to say kudos to the writers, directors and actors. You all have truly killed it.

This isn't your Average .....
Ryan Phillippe let's remember in the late 1990's and early 2000's he was on the height's of becoming a huge movie star. Then he married actress Reese Witherspoon ..had a baby ..then his career kinda went down hill...as her's ..SOARED.. ! He has become like the other pretty boy actor's who marry an actress ..then ..suddenly things change..! Well this movie was on Prime for free and I decided to watch it last night and finish up this afternoon. Can you believe this.... ... it's doesn't disappoint at all...!! In the beginning it looks like a low budget film with a 1-5 million dollar budget because of the cast.. He's the only "Star" in this film.. Except the media gal I we all know from "Good Day .LA" fame .. Let me warn you.. this movie isn't for children.. Due to "Graphic Violence "..OMG ...! Also later on there is something a little ...Adult in Nature " that is Rated X .... I love the location because Louisiana is my "Home away from ...home. ... Lastly ..it has twist and turn's... ... I have two words for you... "Watch ..it"..!

Entertaining, worth watching
The Amazon description is accurate. Ryan Phillippe directed and plays the lead character--an actor no one wants to work with, so he accepts a part in a low-rent movie to be filmed in Louisiana. He's tricked into riding with 2 Cajuns posing as his drivers--a menacing guy with a grudge and his"slow" nephew, Junior. Most of the movie takes place in a cabin in the swamps. Junior (Stephen Louis Grush) is just the right mixture of creepy swamp person and reluctant co-conspirator. It's not Academy Award material, but it's good.

I liked this movie
This horror-ish movie was pretty good, considering this was Ryan Phillippe's first movie he produced, directed, co-wrote, and starred in.My only complaint was his body didn't represent the beatings he took. Besides losing a tooth, there was no swelling, bruising, bleeding, etc. Certainly, they had a makeup artist on set, and somewhere to get some prosthetics.

Like everybody else, I love Ryan Phillippe. He is gorgeous and one heck of an actor.
This is obviously a B movie. As good of an actor as he is, I don't understand why Hollywood does not cast him in better movies. This movie was very boring unless you care for all that torture, gore-which was what most of the movie seemed to consist of. I personally think all that was unessassary. At least they did not go through with the rape- which is more than i can say about Hollywood, for decades depicting unessassay graphic rape scenesof rape on women. Another thing they could have left out is showing the alligator slaughtered. I hope it was not a real alligator- as there are many animal activist who hate showing the killing of animals. And in the past there was an unwritten rule in Hollywood-no killing of animals. Be it ever so true- many would rather see a human killed than an animal.
