Compare two slings and a carrier!! for 10 lb. Pomeranian!
My dog: Eddie 10 pounds. Pomeranian.I searched. I read reviews. I bought THREE OF THEM!!! lol. I got this one in LARGE. PINKIMPORTANT!!! Slings are NOT carriers! Slings provide NO SUPPORT they are like cradling the dog to you with a heavy towel- many dogs feel comforted by this- some hate it. Wrap your dog up and test it out first. Or maybe you hate it. It’s totally different from a carrier!! If you want a carrier that does the job- see below!Size/ comfort for person- this one is as good as it gets!! It’s a SLING! Not a carrier. If you are under 5’2” it’s probably too long. It does adjust- I don’t think anyone bigger would have any issues. THIS ONE IS PERFECT FOR FALL/WINTER. For heavy furred dogs!! Get the other one I bought below for summer- Remember- they are SLINGS!! It’s just a big square of fabric- but if your dog likes it- it’s great. This is a carrier. It supports the dog. It is the most comfortable option for you. Kyten also makes the best carrier where the all four legs of the dog stick out front. I bought one like 6 yrs. ago and used it daily with my last Pom. Eddie doesn’t like that position.Kyjen Outward Hound Front Carrier Size Medium / Black (Kyren small size is a toss up for 10 pounders- they’ll fit but it’s tight. Mediumhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0081XIJ9M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1This is the other Sling. SUMMER WEIGHT FOR SURE. (the strap is death uncomfortable- hell)http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EYZJXDW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1STRIPES. LARGE. I carry him alot. This is a big deal. Here's how it worked out.OVERALL----if you have a dog over 5 pounds , go with a bigger size. My dog fits in the L slings, but if he hit 15 #- no way. Unless you lift weights don't even consider hauling your 20 dog around in a sling! Get one of those two wheeled suitcase thingies. :)My FAVORITE- This one. It is comfortable. Kinda adjustable. Eddie fits and seems to be comfortable. It doesn't look horrible in public. You are still crazy Pom lady- but under control. LOLThe striped one- is really secure for the dog and cool (Poms- lots of fur- the pink one is kind of heavy) Eddie fit really well. It would be good for hauling if you didn't have to walk much- ie. car passenger. The strap is death. Ugh. The bag is cute. And colorful and adorable and tells the world you have a puppy to pet. Be ready to socialize!!The black forward backpack is actually the best deal. It works. It is not the least bit uncomfortable. Eddie was fine/ safe/ he fit. It really spreads the weight out on you. But it's just ugly and ugh. Pefect for hiking. Solitary or couple nature stuff where you know the doggie is sitting at the mile mark, looking at you and saying- okey doke, Mommy. That was awesome. I don't like the twigs anymore. Carry me. And you have 4 miles of trail left. Yup. Looks aren't so important then! :) BEST CAR SEAT DEAL-This is also a Kyjen Outward Hound Booster Seat SIZE SMALLCar seats- I would easily go up to 12 pounds w/ a small. My dog is fine. This car seat is fine. It’s has lots of attach-y things. It’s safe. The dog has to adjust- especially if he’s been in your lap!!http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0081XIBLS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

High quality, comfy sling for your pet - and you!
I have been transporting my cat in my car for a few months and trying to make her stay on my lap. I've been looking for a way to make her feel secure so she's not slipping off my jeans so I got this to give it a try. I discovered while using it she actually prefers to be LESS confined than more confined, and once she was totally loose in the car, she calmed down. But despite this sling not being appropriate for an insane cat in a car ride who doesn't want to be in it, it's super comfortable, very high quality and should meet your needs very well if your pet is usually comfortable being carried. I tried several slings before this one and they were either flimsy or too small for me. I am 6'1" and this one has a very generous strap that is totally adjustable and I was able to wear it at hip length. The others I tried just barely cleared by bust (and the models in the pics must be 5 feet tall). This sling is super cuddle and comfy on the inside for your pet, and soft on the outside for wearing, as well. It can easily be tossed in the wash or de-furred with a sticky roller. Also, it's very roomy - my cat is medium sized, about 12 pounds, and she could disappear and curl up in it if she wanted to. Unfortunately, she didn't want to! But I'd highly recommend this.

If your pup is a chunky monkey, you may want to consider a different bag
I love this bag! It would be absolutely perfect for any small breed dog that was not on the heavier side. My sweet angel is a bit heavy for her frame and this bag kind of strained my shoulder a bit. She however, loved it. She immediately snuggled in, popped her head out and was just enjoying the ride. It almost seemed like she was comforted by being in the bag. Maybe it was the compression, not sure...anyways, while it is super cute, apparently comfy, and looks like its tough and can withstand a lot of wear and tear, I am not sure that I will be using it on a regular basis. However, if my beautiful girl were not as solid and was a super light dog, maybe like a chihuahua or a yorkie then I think this bag would be absolutely perfect. Anything too much bigger than that and I think it may be a bit too uncomfortable. I have a petite but solid Pomeranian, just to give you an idea of size comparison on where the comfort breaking point may land for you.

It's a hit.
Solid.I have a Mini Pin Puppy and was worried about him getting worn out on some up coming hikes/walks so I looked for a way to carry him when that happens. Started with the Outward Hound front facing dog carry - when he was 7 pounds, and he out grew it in 3 weeks - he's now 10 pounds. After doing a lot more research, I ended up on the grey adjustable Alfie 2.0. When it arrived I went to get him and put him in, and he jumped in on his own and decided it was nap time. Carried him around for a while before finally setting it and him on his bed where he's still sleeping as I write this review (his contribution to the review).Anyway what I think you need to know is the following:1) I'm 6'1" and the sling adjust fine to my height. I can wear it low where it's on my hip with him, or adjust it higher where it's more comfortable for both of us.2) The material is soft like a sweat shirt, and the seems and construction seem solid. Its comfortable and wide on the shoulder distributing the weight well.3) The brown dog 10 pounds, 14" long collar to base of tail, and 12" tall Pin Pin mix gets lost in it (which he likes, he's a burrower), so I'll probably add a towel or fleece blanket to it eat some of the volume. This is a bonus actually since I'll be able to take it out and fold it up and use it for the Place command which he's already trained on.4) I also have a black 19 pound, 17" Dachshund mix who fits no problem (he's less cool with it, but accepting. I suspect as he ages out, he's 11+ years old plus now, I'll appreciate it more).

comfortable and easy
I really like this sling. I have an 11 pound Yorkie who is an anxious traveller and doesn't like to be stuffed head first into a carrier. She got used to this sling very quickly and was quite content to be carried around in it. It's deep enough to hold her in and still have her head peaking out. I bought this particular one, even though it was a bit more expensive than other similar ones, because i liked the adjustable strap, and i think it was worth it. I can adjust it to fit over bulky clothes or for my partner to carry her. The ring can be uncomfortable if not well placed on your body but i just used the extra fabric from the strap to wrap around it and it felt fine.It was made with comfortable cotton, and soft denim inside. It looks good and is well made.

Great product
I like the fact that this is adjustable. I bought a different one first but my pup was too low. I have a 6lb Yorkiepoo, we started using this at 3.5lb and worked great throughout her growth. She seems really happy and comfortable in this.

Works Well
As described. Using this to carry my 11lb mini Dachshund up and down the stairs in our house, works well.

It has no stability for a dog to sit comfortably
My little dog is relatively comfortable in the sling bag. But without a platform to settle on, she's just suspended in space and she doesn't like just hanging. It's a bit awkward right now to put her in the bag as she's not yet used to it and splays her legs to stay out of it, but she relaxeswhen she gets settled in. I like the bag, but my girl is a bit apprehensive of it. She'd rather be carried like a trophy.
