The CZ 75b is no different in this respect than my CZ 75 pre-b.

Would you need longer screws as well?

I didn't need longer screws and I used the shim. Seems to be plenty of engagement. I did blue loctite mine though so changing batteries may require a soldering iron to heat the screws and melt the loctite without damaging the RDS.
