Solar Wholesale Shoji Solar Lanterns, 12" Diameter (3 Pack)

This is my second set of solar lights - the last ones, I'd purchased from Lowe's as a three-pack. Those lasted about a year through Florida's harsh sun, wind, and rain. When it came time for a new set, I figured I'd save a little money and try something from Amazon.Eek.I'll start with the good: shipping on these was great. They were packaged securely and arrived as expected. The fabric liner, the plastic-cased hanging cords, and the hooks are all designed well. My complaint with these is the light. All three of my units charge in full sun each day, but the light that is thrown from these after the sun goes down is very minimal, not meeting my expectations at all. Recent answered questions about this product describe the lights as having a blue undertone, which I wanted, but these are definitely more of an orangish tone. Blah. Not at all what I was expecting.They do look nice during the day and they do work as advertised, but not nearly with the intensity to even look charming at night. They look better during the day, for whatever that's worth. For this price point, buy a trusted name instead. These are way too expensive to perform this poorly. Would not recommend.

Solar Wholesale Shoji Solar Lanterns, 12" Diameter (3 Pack) Love these so much! I'm currently hanging these under my screened pergola top by hooks. They made it easy for me by the hanging cords included. I wasn't sure if it would work through filtered sunlight, but they did. They have done well through rain, wind and storms. They have a warm white glow and stay lit until about 2am. Great mood lighting in my oriental themed backyard! Over the last 6 years or so we've hung up 6 solar lanterns above a deck. Mostly we get just one or two seasons from them. This product is different. Instead of a flimsy spring wire used to expand the globe (which often falls out and gets lost) , these use a weighted ring at the bottom. Plus, instead of a flimsy wire to connect to a hanging hook, these have 3 substantial wires that join up. Don't know how the probably cheap solar light will hold up over time, but the other improvements are significant. BTW, the nighttime look and light quality is outstanding, soft, warm and even brighter than expected.

I got these lights to replace some similar ones from IKEA that had worn out over three years. These were inexpensive, so I thought they'd be worth the trouble. The light is not very strong, so don't plan on using them to illuminate much. They are good enough to provide enough light so that you cut through pitch black. I am relatively happy with them - they light every night - but would like it if the bulb was a little stronger.

After less than 2 months, one of the 3 lanterns already stopped working and a second one goes off after just a few hours even though it gets as much sunlight as the third, that stays powered for a few addtl hours. The beam isn't very bright, but (as long as they work) they still give a nice ambience. Back to the Ikea lanterns again next time, though. They lasted a solid 4 years.

I bought these for a subtle, zen like look on my patio and they are perfect. They aren’t very bright, but that’s what I wanted. They’ve survived a tropical storm that took out our Internet and power for three days and still look and work like brand new. I plan to buy more. (The light is a warm-ish light, but the lantern material cools it down a bit. That’s why you’ll get various opinions on the color of the light.)

These are decent if you want some ambient patio lighting but if it rains on them they crap out. I’m currently waiting for a replacement lantern. They aren’t waterproof so you have to take them down if it looks like it’ll rain. I’m down to 2 of the 3 working now because it got a little wet in a rainstorm. For the money you’d think they’d offer this as a standard.

I purchased these on Dec 21st, 2019 and the first one stopped working end of January (past the return window), the second one stopped working in February and by now all three don't work. They look very pretty, I wished they were longer lasting

I was so happy with them that I bought a second set and so did my neighbours. We had quite a few wind & heavy rain storms this summer and even though they were blowing in the wind and/ or soaking wet nothing is ripped and each and every one still works as they did on day one.

I love the look of these lanterns, my only problem was one out of the three didn't even last a full summer. Other than that they are long lasting into the evening and a pretty yellow light that looks nice in my yard

We use this with our travel trailer. Take them out about 20-25 days a year, bought them last year and they are not lasting well. One of the lights died, another has to be turned on and off several times to work. They look cute, give a nice soft light, but it is darn hard to find outdoor decorative solar lights that last.

Very difficult to figure out how to return one of the solar lights that stopped working!!!!!!

I love paper lanterns, but they're so temporary. These lights are a bit more durable, solar powered, and look beautiful in our backyard oasis.
