I feel for Duffy Driver. He overslept. He spends the rest of the day chasing after the Little Red Train, which is big, on the loose, and fast.This is a fantastic book to read to little kids, and we did this endlessly with our train-mad son when he was younger. Because of him, we all became train mad. The sounds you can make are so fun, “chuff-chuff, chuff-chuff, whoo…ooo…” He now reads this to his little friends. The illustrations of the train rushing through the English countryside, towns, farms and seaside are charming. Duffy certainly has an adventure, particularly when he is clever enough to catch a HELICOPTER ride where he finds himself suspended in the air! Clever Duffy…This book is a classic to us and will always remain in our collection. I recommend it.

Fantastic book. Really pleased with purchase. Daughter loves it. Beautiful illustrations and beautiful story. Great for any train lover! Would also highly recommend the others in the series, we now have them all as much loved.

We love the book, had bought it new originally, and the young baby tore out the pop-ups. As I couldn't find it again at the bookstore, I looked on amazon and found it in the used section. Unfortunately, the most important character of the book (the train) was missing in the book, and some other pop-ups were also missing from the pages. The children were quite disappointed, and I will probably not buy another used pop-up book.

これは絵本なのに最初のページで汽車が立体的に立ち上がり、前後に動かせるところで子どもたちの気持ちを捉えます。「いたずらきかんしゃちゅうちゅう」の物語活動に取り組んでいるときに子どもたちに見せています。のどかな田園風景が広がっているページやそのほかにもちゅうちゅうのお話とダブる部分があって興味深いようです。

運転手さんが乗り遅れてあら大変！簡単な英文で何より絵が面白いので英語があまり得意でなくても楽しめます。残念なのがペーパーバックしか取扱いがなく、レビューにあった「立ち上がり」や「CD」がある本はなく、又長期在庫品？だったのか新品Amazonプライムで注文しましたが、少し汚れていたので星マイナス1です。

My 4 yr old loves trains and pop up books. He really enjoys this book. It is one that can be enjoyed over and over with a decent story line and quality pop ups
