Works but is extremely slow to give you the current peak temperature. Don't use if you are looking for an instant read. Can be annoying when using it for deep frying because it responds to slow to the temperature changes. Candy making where it is in the pot for the long haul, its good. The two thermometers are consistent in temperature and when checked against my instant digital meat thermometer.

We found these thermometers to be quite accurate. Plus you can have them sound an alarm at any temperature you set. The point at then end is very sharp so be very careful when adjusting the clip for the pan. We did not like the pan clip that come with them so are using ones from older thermometers that no longer work.

This is perfect for making small batches of tempered chocolate. The last time I needed to buy one, I just ordered two, so I would never be without. It’s the first one I reach for, out of 5 thermometers I own

Love this candy thermometer. I wish the beep was louder, but the light blinking helps. Easy to use, easy to see. Very good product. I tested the calibration and it was right on the money. Nice!

They arent digital. Just two regular thermometers. If you want a digital one then this wouldn't be it but other than that, they would be fine to cook with.

Awesome thermometers. I use these for candle wax as glass ones kept breaking on me. Easy to set the alarms and read the screen.

Garbage! Both of them. Tried making peanut brittle for initial run...display went wonky before it hit 200 degrees and could not read it thereafter and the so-called alarm never went off at the designated temp. Brittle ruined. Both thermometers acted in same manner, rendering them useless. $36 worth of junk.

My mom has a tough time reading the regular thermometer this really helps
