Gets the job done.
I purchased a carport canopy that had flimsy nylon tie downs with insufficient staking. First Noreaster and it was going to blow down for sure. I purchased some SS cable and some of these. It is now very stable and withstood a strong wind storm. The stakes held without any pull-out. Buying more.

Good length for holding down greenhouse frame.
Needed something to hold our greenhouse frame to the ground and these worked perfectly. Length was perfect and greenhouse has stayed securely on the ground during several wind storms.

An essential part of my camping equipment
These were exactly what we were looking for. If you have even needed to deal with 40 mph winds while camping in a tent in the sand, you will understand the need for something more substantial that the little metal stakes that come with a tent. We used these rebar stakes for both the tent and canopy and they were PERFECT! Easy to hammer in and held the tent rock steady all week. Then easy to pull out of the sand with just a twist. These are the newest addition to my essential camping equipment.

Worked to stake down 10' windmill.
Easy install to tire down a10' windmill by crossing them into the ground. The windmill has withstood several high wind events already.

Great compact dog tie outs, easy secure in, easy out.
I'm getting tired of writing reviews, so we'll make this bullet points:-Nice and long, easy to stab in the ground, could use a rubber mallet if needed-once in the ground stays unless direct upward force is applied then slips out easily-I started using these as dog tieouts instead of constantly buying them, nice slim profile, means I can carry them while camping, or to a friend's house if I need to tie my dog down.-Gloss paint is annoying and rusts quickly since protective coating flakes off.-The "J" is more of a "U" and I love that since I usually bury this in the ground past the U which gives the tie out extra security.-I also like that the "U" is not too big but not too small either could get a nice 1in PVC pipe in there.HEAVILY RECOMMEND THESE.

WORTH EVERY PENNY
If you're looking for stakes these are perfect, there strong and come to a point which makes them super easy to drive into the ground. I used them for anchoring my dog kennel to the ground and for our tent when we went camping.

Forget the tent stakes
We bought a 6 ft. wire-framed Xmas tree (with a bazillion led lights on it). We wanted to ensure this lovely Xmas tree display wouldn't blow away during high wind gusts, so these sturdy 16" long rebar stakes was just the ticket. We anchored six of the eight stakes at the base & the timing was perfect as a storm came through. Tree didn't budge. This is the way to go--- tent stakes don't cut it.... 16" long stakes should be a minimum to secure things that will withstand wind gusts. We also used the last 2 stakes to secure the base of a shepherd hook that a hummingbird feeder hangs from. Good value when each stake is less than $3.00 each. They are sturdy, and may rust over time, but a little spray paint will make them look new again.

Sturdy, Strong and Stiff
These were used to right some 20 ft cedars that were at about a 60 degree angle from the ground. The recent winds had gradually forced them to submit and they would eventually have been too far to recover. The stakes were attached to straps that are effectively pulling the trees upright.
