Excellent tool
I’m a collision repair technician and bought this Makita gun for dispensing urethane for auto glass! Plus all my other cordless tools are Makita so it made sense for me to get something I already had batteries for. It works excellent! Urethane for auto glass is the toughest most dense product out there and this gun dispenses with ease and control. Totally effortless! Excellent investment!

This caulk gun is a real workhorse
Wish I'd had one of these years ago! It's a bit on the heavy side, but it more than makes up for that! Easy to use - it deals with some of the thicker caulks that are hard to gun with no problem!

Easy caulking
I purchased this for caulking nail holes and gaps on the exterior of new 24 x 30 foot wood shop. It is very easy to use; it leaves a nice even bead and no drips. The battery lasted quite a long time. So easy on the hands.

Time saver and easy to control
This Cordless Caulking gun was the best investment for sealing my new shop exterior LP sheeting, was a great time saver and I couldn't have imagine doing it with a standard manual caulking gun.. very happy!Because I have Makita cordless tools, this was my choice of brand, but I'm sure others would be good also.

Good tool but doesnt have a cuter or poker
The gun works great, especially with heay duty construction adhesives but for over $250 it doesn;t have a cutter or a steel poker on it! So no I need to still use other tools in addition to this very expensive one just to open a tube of caulk. For a tool this expensive, Makita should have figured out the basics

I love this gun!
If you caulk a lot, BUY THIS. This thing works GREAT. Adjustment takes a bit of getting used to - you'll need to make very tiny changes on the speed dial to get the flow rate just right. Also, I have no idea why, but most calks and adhesives seem to dispense with fewer air bubbles (those annoying gaps when caulking). Almost non-existent with small and large cartridges alike. Really saves a lot of time and energy. Changing cartridge size requires a phillips screwdriver and about 2 minutes. If you haven't lost or misplaced any parts... Be sure to check prices if you want both cartridge sizes, because you'll save money buying the tool with one size and then buying the add-on cartridge holder in the other size. When I got mine I saved about twenty bucks buying the tool with the large holder and then ordering the small holder separately.

Very user frendly and will help the user in laying out a consistant beal of caulk with minimal "training"
I purchased this product to caulk about 250 lf of trim. The gun worked flawlessly. I was a bit apprehensive about the weight vs. a manual triggered caulking gun, but I found it well balanced and easy to get the bead that I wanted. Where the caulking gun earned its weight in gold was having to dispense a two part epoxy product. these tend to be very hard to squeeze with normal (cheep) caulking guns. This tool made it both easy and painless to dispense two tubes of two part epoxy in minutes with total control of the size of bead and preventing the continuous flow when the trigger is released (Nice Feature). Not only would I recommend this caulking gun, but I think that it is one of the best Makita 18V products that I use on a daily basis.

Power Caulker for Tennis Elbow
Yeah... I'm not a professional, but I have tennis elbow. This tool helped me caulk my seams and window trim this year and was fairly easy on my tennis elbow. I have to admit, it's nice not to have to break a bead to recaulk your grip on those long seams. It just keeps going until the tube of caulk is empty. There are 5 speed settings, but I rarely get above 2. There's quite a speed difference between 1 and 2. Setting 5 will empty a full tube of caulk in a matter of seconds.Get the clip for hanging this, and also consider the sausage gun adapter if you're a professional.
