Good manual reason for 4 stars is because almost every diagram in the manual is hard to make out what it is the pictures are too dark but if you are good with your hands and have experience with tools and maintenance, and repair works then this manual isn't bad at all how ever it is better than the Chilton manual

If you need it you need it

Looking for anything beyond a decent starting point for the modern repair of Ironhead's is a fools errand. So much of everything that's done is dependent on the history of the bike and the mechanic's knowledge. I always work with a mobile phone and take lot's of pictures of how things look fully assembled and take lots more pictures as I go through the process of completing a task, this book does not replace those things, trial and error and care in each step of your working process are still critical to getting everything back together right. That being said, this guide is a great companion to the official Harley Davidson service manual for the production run of your particular bike (it does not replace it... you will need both to be successful). This book does what it says and is well written and instructional on the basics in beginning maintenance for your ironhead sportster.

For owners of older Harley's this is a great book!

Bought it to go along with a Haynes manual.Both do a awesome job on explaining the process.

Comprehensive and as with most Clymer products, an improvement on the Haynes equivalent, although the layout and presentation seems somehow less accessible than the UK manuals; maybe it's just what I'm used to.

its ok, its a small book, info seems to be scattered and you have to hunt and peck for it, other wise it wil fix your bike

bien emballer; bien detailler; de jolie vues éclatées , pour tout et pour toutes les vieilles années 70-80 indispensable pour tout pocesseur de sportsters shéma electrique complets; rapport qualitée/prix y a pas mieux; pour seulement 12€, 13 €€ ,le seul petit problem c est la traduction, mais cest un livre a avoir, plus complet que la version francaise ( revue moto technique) ,il est aussi interessant que le manuel hayne, je possede les trois et il met tres utiles pour vraiment pas cher comparer a ses autres versions qui coutes le double, merci un livre a avoir
