Grover 3492 Austrian Jaw Harp - Soprano

I'm so glad I bought this. Within a day of practice I was playing original tunes. I've always loved the sound and concept behind the jaw harp- now i can play one of my own! There's a lot of cheap jaw harps for sale on amazon- I chose this one because it got the best reviews; it seemed that many of the other cheap ones didn't even work (according to the reviews). The jaw harp is fun to play because there's so many possibilities. The player's ability to make shapes out of their mouths and tongue determines the nature of the sound and the different notes- that's a seriously large amount of possibilities. It's also tons of fun. The only downside that's worth mentioning is that sounds can only be produced by positioning the jaw harp very, very delicately. Think of it like a clarinet- you need to be gentle and precise to make any sound at all, as opposed to a guitar, where a simple pluck of the string produces a sound. -Morgan

I bought it for a gift

I'm sure the harp is fine for others, but not me. I wished I would have looked better before I spent my money. It's so small and you can barely hear it. I will be sending it back. Totally disappointed. I'm not sure how well the quality is either?

This instrument is very small for an adult. I’ll give it to my grandson. I don’t recommend this for an adult. The quality seems ok.

I learned to play it back then. I had a cousin who had a different one. Her's was MUCH harder to play. THIS one is the easiest to play and I love the sound. I could play it for hours almost like meditation.

It produces ok sound but is small and flimsy. For it's price it's a pretty neat toy but not a real instrument to be played.

I purchased one for myself and my 10-year old neice, who has some musical talent. It takes a little bit of practice to get the hang of it, but for a simple and easy, inexpensive musical toy I love it. A couple of minutes a day for two weeks and I'm starting to learn to twang out some interesting sounds. Mouth shape and tongue action are what dictate the sounds produced. Will have to check back with the neice soon to see if she's giving it any effort.

It is what it says it is. Small in size. But it does work haha. Took me a good 10 min. To even get any kinda tune from it. Harder to play then one would think! But cool. Gonna keep at it. Ill post a video with this written review. Im by no means any good with it yet lol

A very small harp for an adult. Waited for longer than a month. It seems more like a toy than a musical instrument.

Es nueva, trae su empaque, sólo hay que poner atención a que viene en tonos diferentes y este es soprano

Really feeble sound compared to my Indian morchungs.
