Green, Scrap Collector and Freezable Compost Bin, Compact with 1/2 Gallon Capacity

THIS IS NOT ONE GALLON. I just received it and using a measuring cup I was able to put only 8 cups of water into it with just about 1/2" of space remaining. To help with the math, 8 cups equals a HALF GALLON. I don't know how in the world this can be advertised as a gallon when it's literally half that. I bought it specifically for the larger capacity, so I'm highly disappointed with this purchase.

This is perfect size. If you want to hang it inside your cupboard door - it will not work unless you put 2 skrews and hang it on the skrews. However you can hang it on the door on the outside. Not sure why you would do that??? But it is a sweet little compost bin for your scraps. Might have other great uses as well.

Very nice though smaller than I anticipated but will work for my needs. I bought it for a different purpose. I hung it over my big laundry basket to separate my delicates from the rest of the wash between washings.

I had the rubber version of this and it never seemed to lose the odor, even after being in the dishwasher. This one cleans up well. It is an invaluable kitchen item for the environmentally friendly cook.
