Joseph Joseph Multi-Grip Kitchen Mandoline, Adjustable Fruit and Vegetable Slicer, 3-Slice Thickness, with Precision Food Grip, Green

This is exactly what I was looking for. Razor Sharp, adjustable, easy to clean and store away. I’ve used this successfully for all sorts of vegetables & fruits, even fine slicing garlic cloves (with the aid if a cocktail stick!) The blade guard is great, secure and easily clicks into place when putting away. I have electric slicers and choppers but this is my go to tool for quickly slicing, say an onion. Slice, wash, put away in 2 mins flat.

I was hesitant to spend the money but am so delighted with this. An excellent mandolin, great quality, sturdy and easy to use. I recommend you use the well designed finger guard for more fiddly jobs or when you get towards the end of your slicing job. It also covers the blade when not in use. There are 3 thicknesses. I use it mostly for root ginger, but it makes slicing any fruit or veg good fun! Easy to wash up.

I love Joseph Joseph utensils and this one is no different, great quality and looks nice. Using it is straight forward and made chopping cabbage up thinly much easier. There are three settings for different thickness so change for what you need & obviously the hand guard is an absolute must. There is also a setting that ‘locks’ it so that the blade is less prominent and safer to store which is good. It lost a star because it would’ve been good if there was some way to raise it, if you’re holding it on the counter for stability then you end up hitting the counter a bit whereas if it had a stand of some kind to raise it a little there’d be more room. I still love it though, does the job very well.

Never had a bad product from Joseph Joseph, albeit they are usually expensive for what they are. In this case, the price is good for what you get. It's good quality and very sharp with a good grip making it safe and easy to use. Cleaning wise, it's not spectacular as with all mandolins because it's very hard to safely get under the blade to clean. The green colour is not my favourite though, it looks pretty old fashioned. I would have preferred a black, white or silver one.

Good addition to the kitchen. It’s compact and I like the way you can lock the blade when in storage so there’s no nasty surprises. It’s stayed sharp and meant that I can power through slicing when the recipe calls for it.

This is a great gadget to save time and to perfectly slice a variety of fruits and veggies. It's good quality, like most Joseph Joseph products. It is a 'mini' version of the bigger product they sell but I've found it works really well for limes, lemons and larger oranges, carrots, etc. Large veg would also work but it would have to be cut down to size first. It doesn't have a stand, so you have to hold it at an agle to use. If you try to use it flat, the slices build up underneath and get in the way, so it does have the potential to slip a little. I would highly recommend getting a safety glove to use with this. Although it comes with a plastic gripper to hold the vegetable/fruit to keep fingers away from the blade, once you get towards the end of the carrot or whatever, the holding device gets in the way and it is tempting to remove it and just hold the vegetable with your fingers. Please don't do this. It's mega sharp and you could easily lose a finger. And I mean, really easily. *Update August 2025* I've had a few months to get to used to using the mandoline and overall, I'm disappointed. The blade has lost it's sharpness and I've disovered that the blade cannot be removed, meaning the cutting action is impaired and it takes a lot of effort to get it to cut slices without getting stuck. Overall, I'd say spend more on a gadget that is more durable and has a removable blade.

I love cooking but I admit my knife skills are lacking. My best efforts still result in slices of uneven thickness which then cook unevenly. I've looked at various mandolins over the years but the designs of the guard and the advice to wear what looked like chain mail gloves put me off. The guard design is what attracted me to this one. The ability to push items on to the blade, or to hold more delicate veg in the jaws seemed so sensible. I'm happy to report it is. I've been able to use it for all sorts; from leeks to potatoes and shallots to oranges. It's brilliant. Very easy to clean - obviously the same as for anything with a very sharp blade, care is needed. I really do wish I had seen this version years ago, it would have saved a lot of frustration in the kitchen.

Robust and functional. The flexible thickness setting is excellent. Can be a challenge to manage the grip to keep the vegetable to be sliced in place but very important you do as the blades are lethally sharp

This is a great mandoline. Lightweight, sturdy, very sharp and works like mandolines costing much more. Please don't ignore the slicing guard for safety. The mechanism to change thickness is simple and located conveniently. Highly recommend.

I really like this slicer. The grip piece makes it feel safe and steady when holding food, and it attaches neatly to the main part for storage. It doesn’t cover the whole blade, but it does help cover most of it, which adds a nice extra bit of safety. It’s lightweight, easy to clean, and very good value for the price. After slicing my thumb on the conventional mandolin, this is a life saver. So happy to have found this, the handle grips to potatoes well, and thickness is adjustable/ lockable. Very clever brilliant design and product quality.
