Perfect cooking tool -- dead accurate, easy to use and clean
This Fluke dual-mode food thermometer by Comark (a Fluke company) is fantastic. It replaces a Comark thermocouple probe unit I have used for over a decade, and a separate laser gun -- now I have one unit. Only one type of probe is offered, a slight defect, because with my old Comark I could chose different probes, but in reality I settled on one, and the probe on this unit is just fine. Calibration was dead on, and I have not detected any drift.Pour-over coffee and home-made soft serve ice cream (my two basic food groups) both require very precise temperature control, the difference in taste a few degrees one way or the other makes is remarkable.The cheaper food thermometers, even the hundred-dollar units, do not come close to working correctly -- I know, I have a drawer full. Sure, this one is expensive, but for something you use multiple times a day, the cost is well-amortized. And I love the easy-to-replace 9-volt battery ... I am done forever with crazy coin-type batteries.

NEW ONE'S ARE DEFFECTIVE!!! DON'T BUY
I purchased 3 of these in 2020. They all started having the same error. The probe setting just does a solid beep and stops working. I contacted FLUKE who was kind enough to replace them for brand new one (less the shipping fee). However, the new one started doing the same thing within 1 week of receiving. FLUKE had no other options but to keep sending me what they have in stock, but there appears to be a manufacturing issue in the batch that they are unable to fix or replace anytime soon. FLUKE had an engineer contact me who recommended I buy the Comark Instruments FPP-CMARK-US (which is 1/3 of the price) and the original that FLUKE copied. FLUKE purchased the COMARK company several years ago. I ended up purchasing two COMARK thermometers and they are much better quality and working great!

It is very useful and the type of machine I was looking for. I like how it has both a probe and a IR sensor. The speed and accuracy of the FoodPro Plus impresses me. Also, very easy to clean. The size is small enough to carry around, unlike larger IR thermometers.

This is, by far, the best thermometer I've found. Love the probe and scan on the same device and it beeps when it gets to final temperature. Fantastic!
