Great Belt with Ease of Use
I ordered this product in Medium for a bilateral Inguinal hernia which was just a bit too large for my 29" waist; When I replaced with a Small it fit nearly perfect. I have been using this for about 1 week and can honestly say it works fantastic for my needs. I have this hernia for a few years, and used another product (beige) from Amazon a few years back which was not nearly as comfortable. That other product had velcro that just did not hold during the day. My work as a licensed doctor (specialty not disclosed) involves me bending, crouching & doing a LOT of physical activity all day long. The first belt three years ago I had to retrofit with snap on clasps to keep it from opening as the crappy Velcro would come lose constantly. It was just NOT comfortable either with the clasping I had to sew on myself, nor the front pads that were supposed to apply the pressure in my groin. These were very hard and overall a very uncomfortable experience. Not this belt. So far the pads are cushy foamy and just the right firmness to do the job while allowing me to work and NOT even think about the belt. The velcro so far stays in place with no slip or coming lose. My only gripe: The two straps that run from the front to the back between my legs, and attach via. velcro to the back waist strap are too long. I have to pull them up the back and then down the inside to attach them. If the straps were like 2 or 3 inches shorter the fit would be perfect. It's not a big deal except often the horizontal belt that wraps around my waist in the back tends to fold over inside my pants from the pull, and occasionally I do get a 'weggie' feeling when one of those straps slips close to my butt. Other than these minor inconveniences I can say this is a worthwhile belt and has solved my issues to make me work comfortable to the point I don't even feel any outward pressure from the hernia, nor inward pressure from the pads or the product. Good design and almost great fit.

This support belt is incredible. I bought it for my dad, and it works very well for his hernia. It prevents strangulation and keeps the hernia from getting bigger. This belt is of very good qualit

Comfort and velcro
The straps are somewhat uncomfortable as they tend to "dig" into your groin area when giving adequate pressure. The velcro needs to be pressed on the back of the waist strap to hold at all and then comes off easily. On the positive aspects; the pressure supplied by the device gives relief and reassurance to perform normal tasks with ease and no worries of worsening the hernia. A little tweaking on the straps; perhaps a little more flexibility on the straps horizontally would help the comfort aspect. More responsive material on the back area of the waist strap to receive the velcro better.

Works
This belt helped keep my non painful hernias inside me until I had 25 grand to have them repaired since I don’t have health insurance.

I think it will help clear up any misgivings you may have about buying this belt.
I'm leaving 3 stars, so more people will see my review, but I am feeling a 5 star rating at this moment, so please read further. I think it will help clear up any misgivings you may have about buying this belt. Now, I read that the velcro wears out (and I'll figure something out to do, when that occurs,) in the negative comments section, but wearing it for the first 4 days has actually improved my quality of life, while waiting for surgery. It holds your organs from descending into places they shouldn't be descending. I am able to do things I couldn't do 4 days ago. I honestly think the velcro issue will probably happen with all of the brands, over time. One of the comments said they had a 29 inch waist, and that the medium was too big - and I totally agree. The small, although tight, is ideal for my 29 inch waist, and I am a male. It needs to be tight to work, and the small is perfect for me, although a 31 inch waist might need the medium. I have been immobile for 2 months since diagnosis of this hernia, and today I went out and raked leaves; I played my drummset progressively for an hour and a half; I can ascend and descend stairs with out trouble, as well, without having any swelling or pain what-so-ever. I haven't tried any other belts, but this has definitely helped me and my mobility by leaps and bounds. If the velcro does wear out fast, I will definitely add a repost later - maybe with tip on how to fix it. But, it feels good and I can at least do 2/3rds of the things that I normally did day to day. Repost: After a little over 2 weeks of wearing the belt, I am finding that the velcro straps are already wearing a bit, and I haven't done much in terms of taking it on and off. I'm not sure you are going to find one that this anomaly doesn't happen with, but I haven't tried any others, so I couldn't say for sure.

This hernia belt works very well. It exerts just enough inward pressure to eliminate the excruciating "jolts" of pain I had been getting whenever I made certain moves, like getting up from a sitting position. Both the "around the hips" strap and "through the crotch" tightening straps are completely adjustable to set for the most comfort for your physique. The velcro grabbing power is very strong, which is important. One day after about a week, I tried not wearing it. It didn't take long (3 hours) before I got one of those terrible jolts of pain, proving the effectiveness of this belt. I put the belt right back on, and no more pain jolts.

Well, I found myself diagnosed with a hernia that has been causing me pains. The local stores that carry hernia products which I hope helps were about sixty dollars for something I don't even know will work but for thirty and from a trusted source as Amazon I have found faith in it was worth a try. The product arrived within the weed, Well packaged and the quality seems professional, durable and simple to use. i thought it might be an issue going to the wash room at the plant but not bad after all. I haven't worn the support much yet so have no real long time usage to give it five stars but here's to hoping it helps at work.
