Two years later, this is still one of my daughter’s favorite toys. She’s 6 now and still plays with it regularly, often with her 9-year-old brother. They love using it for pretend play and usually take turns pretending one is a Subway employee while the other is the customer. The set has so many different sandwich ingredients that they can make different combinations every time, which keeps it fun and interesting. **What we love:** * Great for imaginative pretend play * Lots of sandwich pieces for different combinations * Durable enough to hold up over years of play * Fun for multiple kids to play together It’s one of those toys that keeps getting pulled back out instead of being forgotten after a few weeks. **Overall:** A fantastic pretend play set that encourages creativity and holds kids’ attention for years. Definitely one of the best long-lasting toys we’ve had.

My daughter absolutely loves this toy. She gets bored easily with other toys but not this one. She’s been entertained for hours. The sandwich maker is very sturdy and she loves how you can slice the meat and cheese through the slicer. She makes different combos with a very good selection of food. I love how everything has a place so easy clean up for the mom who always try’s to keep the toys together and organized. The toy is a very good size but heavy for the little ones. I 100% recommend this toy. And I think it’s worth the money. Melissa and Doug toys are always excellent quality. Its been three days and she’s still playing with her sandwich maker which says a lot for kids who are toy picky. Perfect for imagination play.

Melissa and Doug do it again- such a fun activity to play with. My kids love playing cooking and sandwich shop so this was perfect. It’s realistic, great value, many options and durable.

I once again am positive Melissa and doug created the most thoughtful, functional and kid friendly version of this product that is on the market. I purchased this after buying the M&D ice cream set (after buying 2 other brands that fell short); it was an instant hit for my 1yo and 3yo. As an early interventionist that works with kiddos, I have yet to encounter another brand that puts as much thought into expanding play. Features (I didn't read all the features before purchasing and was pleasantly surprised at everything included that increased the quality and breadth of play) -**the coolest** A MEAT SLICER!! It is so neat. The meat and cheeses stack together then push through a slicer area. - assortment of meats, cheeses, toppings- like olives, bacon, mustard, onions, tomatoes - a soft bun and a "wrapper" - a punch card for frequeny visitors - information card that sits are the top with one side displaying picture + written instructions for assembling a sandwich and the other showing options for ordering (genius) - a cookie with one side being chocolate chip and the flip side oatmeal - a bag of chips, including a resealable bag and "chips" - a cup (not shown in my video) with a little insert to show two different drink options - **also super cool** a pretend drink dispenser This set up just promotes open ended play, language expansion, and social growth. Whe set up naturally allows for one person on the assembly side and one kid on the ordering side. Some ways we expand play at home include: 1. Making silly names for our sandwich creations 2. Each person adding on an ingredient and listing everything that came before it (turns into a race who can say it the fastest) 3. Describing the item you want instead of naming it (I'm looking for something salty with a little crunch) The most important thing I can't emphasize enough about M&D is that every single piece has a home- the bread, cup, oil/vinegar, cookie, chips, toppings- all have a location to go. They aren't just getting thrown in a bag or box at the end of the day, each peice has a spot that it stays so it is ready for play the next day. Genius. I bought this with my very own money, but still felt it was important to emphasize how well designed this toy was!

Very cute, my children love it and have been playing with it often! If I could give one negative, the Velcro bits are not high quality or durable for toddlers to play with, they fell off the second time we played with it.

Very cute sandwich counter. My daughter loved it and uses it just about everyday since she got for Christmas. The only thing that frustrates her is the slicing machine, it is a little stiff and hard to get it to slide. Other than that I now get a sandwich meal for breakfast in bed or a midday snack while cooking dinner.

I gave this to my 5 year old niece for christmas, and almost immediately all three kids (2 yrs, 5 yrs, 12 yrs) were playing with it; taking orders from the adults, making each other sandwiches, the older kid was using the money aspect while the younger kids just built the sandwiches. They were still playing with it 3 months later! It's a super well-made toy that will last a long time and has so many different ways to play with it that it will keep them interested for years. They can just play with it on their own, they can take orders from others, they can practice building sandwiches according to the menu sheet, and eventually they can charge for the orders using the play money. Fantastic toy! So worth the price.
