wasn't expecting much, but this is less than "much" the whistle does not work, there are chronograph dials, but the pushers don;t work,so I guess it's "fake" the fire starter does not work, and the compass, the real reason I got this, does not work either. so that pretty much makes it a very cheap watch with a few feet of cord for 10 bucks and a bunch of cheap accessories that don't work. I won't bother returning it, but I sure would not recommend it.

Mostly positive. The only disappointing thing is the face of the watch with the numbers and the smaller dials is just a printed label to give the impression of a more complex watch. I wasn't expecting any other functions but was still kind of surprised by that. The two additional buttons on the edge of the watch don't seem to do anything, nor did I expect them to. It's a watch with some other things attached (compass, whistle, fire starter, paracord).I note there's no way to easily replace the watch battery except by unwinding the paracord band which would be nearly impossible to restore to the original configuration, so I pull the stem to stop the watch when not using it to hopefully extend the life of the battery. Not sure if that stops the motor or just disconnects the hands, but I do it anyway.This item is fine for the price. I wanted a watch to use when hiking and it serves that purpose.

First of all, I do a lot of online shopping. So for the price I didn’t have high expectations. However this watch isn’t worth more than $2. The whistle doesn’t work, the compass is beyond broken, and the “flint” is one step above plastic. It is incredibly bulky and doesn’t sit on the wrist. Save your money unless you really don’t like the person you’re buying this for.

The watch itself is fairly decent, piezoelectric movement, looks fairly sturdy. The paracord band is not adjustable for length unless you want to unweave, cut and reweave the band. Not 100% sure, but doubt its actually milspec paracord, but not much you see these days is, and it still seems like a pretty sturdy band. It's too small for me, an average sized male, just a tad too big for my 7 year old son. A measurement won't do much good, as the rigid clasp on the bottom means it won't conform to your wrist size so a straight measurement won't really tell you if it fits or not. Perhaps the compass is located too close to the metal watch face, but for whatever reason it did not accurately show direction. The whistle is loud and perfectly functional. The 'fire starter' is present but after fooling with it for around 15 minutes without actually producing a spark I'm guessing it is non-functional. I was hoping for a watch for me when I bought this, ended up with a toy watch with a whistle for my kid. Not too bad for as cheap as it is, but isn't much as a survival watch as advertised.

Its not a lot of many except to the seller putting this junk out, it adds up for them. Nothing works it looks like a first grade project and works like one also. I don't leave bad reviews i usually try to resolve . But this is just junk. never been ripped like this on amazon. Nothing Works junk . junk. junk. got to read the reviews guess its my fault. Amazon making is making me leave a star

I wish I read reviews before I spent $8. It is cheap, but if the thought is you get what you pay for then this watch would be feee and only shipping should be considered.Im giving it to my kid. He can use it for play.Worthless, but cost...$8.

The watch band only comes in one length as manufactured. The only was I could fit the band was to untie the woven knots at one end. It did not seem possible at the other end. It was sort of complex to figure out a new way to securely tie and weave a new pattern without cutting the cord so it would fit well to my wrist. It took a bit of time to figure that out ~2-3 hours. The watch is simple. The compass seems to be fine. The fire starter takes practice. The whistle is not loud at all. Other features are fine. Good for $8 bucks.

I bought this watch after a similar item I had for about a year cracked on my latest camping trip. As a Boy Scout leader, I hike often, and this is a great item to have clipped on to your backpack while hiking on the trails. For the price, it is surprisingly very durable, and much better than the last one I had. The magnesium starter works well as it should, and the compass is magnetized properly and matches the one I always use. I'm considering getting a few of these as gifts for my Scouts.
