PASTORS, BUY THIS BOOK.
This is the final book Jack Frost published before he passed away this year, and as a final work, it is by far his best.It is a fantastic examination of the heart: why do i do the things I do?As a pastor, this book is a hard read: it may be painful or offensive to find out you have been striving for years, trying desperately (even subconsciously) to please your Master, when we could have been working with our Father.I have personally handed out 14 copies to pastor friends of mine in the last year, and every minister I have given it to has been profoundly changed. Becoming a Son, instead of a Slave, changes your entire life. One friend of mine began to read the book, and became very upset with me. He said: "Ive done everything up till now because God is my boss, and he owns me, and if He wants to burn me out, thats His decision! Im a slave for Christ! Don't tell me, after all I've suffered, that I've done it for the wrong reasons..." He said this with tears of frustration pain rolling down his cheeks, and I saw the spirit of Sonship begin to unravel the spirit of Slavery from around his heart.Another Pastor I gave this to was frustrated and confused as to why he felt he could never engender loyalty in people, or create spiritual sons. He talked the talk, but it never worked. He realized that you can speak like a Father, but act like an Orphan. Once you become a Son (or Daughter), you will create and attract Sons and Daughters. The desire in the Church to "Father" (or "shepherd", etc) is doomed to failure if led by Orphans.A wonderful woman I gave this book to was struggling: She a was loyal and hard working, honest and sincere Christian, trying her best to serve her Pastor. But the pastor continually wounded her, convincing her it was for her own good. Reading this book, she realized she was striving like an Orphan, FOR an Orphan. Finding the freedom to see God as her Father, rather than her Pastor, allowed her to continue to serve her Pastor in love, and escape from the cycle of pain and rejection. The change in her, her marriage, and her family is amazing. It can be painful, but it is absolutely necessary for every man and woman of God to have this loving mirror held to their heart, and find out: am I living life as an Orphan (and creating more orphans in my ministry and family) or am I living life as a Son or Daughter of a loving Father? Can't say enough about this book. It'll change the way you do everything.

Sons and Daughters of the King
The late Jack Frost spent much of his life working as a licensed commercial fishing boat captain. While he was tough, skilled, and ventured to some of the roughest and most hostile environments on earth, he was not very good at receiving love from his Heavenly Father. He did not know how to be a son and was hemmed in by 'orphan thinking.' Through some powerful interactions with the Holy Spirit and Father God, he learned to replace his old way of thinking with a new one and began to live life with the understating of his inheritance and sonship through Christ Jesus. In SPIRITUAL SLAVERY TO SPIRITUAL SONSHIP, his last book, Jack Frost spends some time exploring his past, but much more of the writing is devoted to helping the reader realize the true nature of God's heart for them and throw off chains of striving and strife. That's why I believe this to be Frost's best book; the emphasis is less autobiographical and more prescriptive, and it includes an authoritative use of scripture to back up everything he says.Ultimately the only failing of the book is in its repetitiveness. Many of the main points are presented over and over again, which might be good for someone new to the topic of sonship, but if you've already read a few books by Frost, don't be afraid to skip ahead. An excellent read for virtually any Christian, this book will have an impact on how you view yourself, God, and your relationship to Him. It will challenge you to throw off old and broken ways of thinking and being and embrace the fullness of God's love and care for you. Highly recommended.

Jack Frost Embraces My Need to Feel Loved
Jack Frost was instrumental in changing my life through his book SPIRITUAL SLAVERY TO SPIRITUAL SONSHIP" by helping God heal my orphan heart. This book and Shiloh Place Ministries has had and continually has a major impacted on my life, my ministry, my preaching, my teaching, and my relationship with the Father.I have always believed that our lineage as a world is traceable back to Adam and Eve and that we are sons and daughters of God the Father. We need to know who we are in God the Father's eyes. "SPIRITUAL SLAVERY TO SPIRITUAL SONSHIP" changed my image of God and the image of myself. I now knew that He was my Father and that I was His son in whom He is well pleased. My ministry is to lead people to intimacy with the Fathering heart of God through His love. I now see more clearly that our mission is all encompassing of all people on this earth because God so loved the world...not Americans, not Jews, not Christians, but everyone. Let me state that more emphatically--EVERYONE.We all need to be lovers of the Father. Instead of talking about doctrine, dogma, morality, politics, etc., let's instead talk about the Father's love and becoming the sons and daughters of God the Father we were created to be.I highly recommend this book "SPIRITUAL SLAVERY TO SPIRITUAL SONSHIP" to begin your journey to wholeness and to discover your true identity.Bruce BrodowskiAuthor of:My Father, My Son, Healing the Orphan Heart with the Father's LovePresidentCarolinas Ecumenical Healing MinistriesMinister, missionary, author, publisher, speaker

Very Deep!
This book was very deep, and through the process of reading it, God revealed to me my own heart and orphan way of thinking. It was tough to read at times because I could feel God showing me things about myself that need changing. I highly recommend this book to ALL readers!

Good story but very specific
This is written in a very accessible style and you have to honour Jack Frost for being so open about his journey from one-upmanship to a servant-hearted leader. But unless your pauper/slave mentality manifests itself as wanting authority and power at any cost, this book may not bring the revelation of how to move into being a son that you were hoping for. The table of examples of other Slave .v. Sonship thinking (in the appendix at the back of a book) is really interesting and are certainly worth digging into and researching further - I just wish they had been covered in the book...!

Wow, 35 of being a Christian and this is NEW NEWS
I can't believe it has taken till now to see this stuff! It's incredible. I've been bright up in a Christian home, been a Christian for 35 years, I lead a sizeable church in the uk, but the revelation that Father is bring to me over this is incredible. This book has condensed into its pages the revelation that has been bubbling away in me over the last year.

This book is certainly worth reading and it's different to other books that I have read. It gives a different perspective on Sonship and explains it well through his own story
