These tension rods has design features that make them simple to use. They are heavy duty and we paired the them with thermal insulated curtains which were a perfect match for these rods. Our approach was to use the pinned adjustment feature to set an initial length 2” longer than the window frame. The rods were easy to compress for frame fit and the we set the final adjustment with the rotating ends. They are sturdy, even with the heavy weight curtains the rods will not slip or fall. If you use ringed curtains it is best to install these with the open spring side down to avoid snagging the rings on the tension set pins

Used this tension rod to hang a wall to wall room dividing curtain. It works perfectly. It was very easy to put together. I had the whole thing opened up and installed (with the curtain) in less than 30 minutes. It’s strong and sturdy. I pull the curtain both directions several times a day. It has held itself firmly in place. Awesome product!

I used this in a window at work to hang my plants. Works great! Hasn't shifted at all.

Difficult to install. Once in place it works well. Right length and color. Good value for money.

Easy to use ~ and strong enough

it doesn't do what i want , it was so hard to get it across the wall to wall my arms got tired not very sturdy , looks good but doesn't do the job

This is a very sturdy & strong piece of equipment for holding up my curtains. It was the right size that I needed for my livingroom windows. I highly recommend this for anyone with large windows in any of the rooms in their home. I couldn't find this in any of the large chain stores

The product has set spots about every inch (where there rod can lock), and I believe that you are supposed to be able to make some slight adjustments at the end of the pole to tighten in place. While I have the feeling that if your measurements worked out that the wall was pretty much at one of the locking points it would hold the weight it says it can; once you are in between those slots, the end adjustment is not strong enough to hold the rod in place. I should also so that my application is a bit odd in that I am hanging a fine metal mesh curtain... and while it weighs less than the rated capacity, it likely weights more than most things people would use it for.
