Junk!
Should have listened to the negative reviews but just had to try it because if it worked as described by newbeem, it was just what I needed. It took many, many tries (droid app) and it wasn't until I was giving up that I noticed somehow my lamp appeared. I set the time for the lamp to come on for the week. During set up, the lamp would mysteriously dim and brighten and turn on and off multiple times. Before I was finished with the set up, the lamp was missing and I could never get it to appear in the app again. I uninstalled and reinstalled app, used the reset button multiple times and followed everyone's troubleshooting ideas that I could find. Newbeem never replied to my request for help so I am guessing they must know that their product doesn't work. Sending this back!!

Not as easy as they advertise...
So disappointed in this product. I tried everything to connect the unit to my wifi and had zero success. If you can't get it to connect then obviously the wifi features ( remote control with the app, setting timers) will not work. The website was useless for help. The included instructions give you no trouble shooting help. I'm no tech genius, but the website says "It is very simple, only knowledge you need is you know how to use a smart phone."I'll most likely be returning this product if I can't figure out the connectivity issue. Buyer beware.

Not worth it; stops working and customer support is non-existent at best
I agree with most of the 1 star reviews for this product. Don’t get me wrong; when I received it for the first time, it did work well. Then after the first month, the issues started – first the dropped wifi connections and then as of last night, it just completely shut off. Unfortunately, I am out of my return window and am stuck with a $25 paper weight. In my humble opinion, I would like to attribute this misfortune to karma! That’s what I get for being lazy!So, my takeaway for those considering this - Please do not waste your money and move along.

I have LED string lights and they are plugged in to my Newbeem. I don't have any issues with the lights with a traditional dimmer however upgrading to the Newbeem, I've found that the timers work as promised. My issues with the set up come at the intervals I have set up. The first fade at midnight to 50% the lights turn off and then slowly turn on...at completely different times. The second fade to 25% (photo included) same thing. That's frustrating but it does what it supposed. Lights on at 8, lights off at 2. Only issue is with fading/dimming. My assumption is that is more tied to LED lights than the actual dimmer.

Took a while to get it connected to my internet - but be patient - it will finally connect. Once connected - the iPlug app is easy to use to set up timers to turn lights on and off. I have several around the the house - and can either use the timer settings for those that I want to turn on and off on a schedule -- or for those that I don't want on a schedule - can turn the lights on and off from my phone. If I find I am going to be out late -- I can turn a light on for the dog -- or a light on in the hallway - so I don't come home to a dark house.I looked at several - but landed on the Newbeem - because of their price-- and was not disappointed!

Product Works as Described!!! Great Product at a great price!
Before I purchased this product, I read the reviews and most people said the product didn't work. I took a chance and decided to purchase based on the one review that said it did work. I am here to say that the product WORKS 100%!!! All that is required is to connect to the SSID that the device broadcasts, open the app, and follow the configuration steps. One thing to note is that if you have a space in your current wifi SSID, change it so there is none. Once that is configured, the product works flawlessly! The app is a little dated, as I am using an iPhone 6 and it appears it hasnt been updated to fit the iPhone 6 screen size. Other than that, it is great. This is a MUST buy for anyone looking to dim/control christmas lights, lamps, etc.

Doesn't work
Not working. Haven't heard from the company. The red light will not turn on at all. Pressing the reset button does nothing. The yellow light comes on, and I can use the two non-WiFi outlets just fine, but this will not allow me to connect anything through the app. I've tried the method in the user manual online, and the way the little packet says to do it, AND the "quick" setup that one of the developers mentioned on the FAQ page.What a waste.

Garbage
Does not connect to my home Network either via the automatic or manual procedure. Spent over 4 hours attempted to get it to join. It did join their local network but will not join my network period. Poor instructions and no troubleshooting tips.Their web site is useless.
